Diamond table domination

That's an absolute UNIT. Wow.
Great looking table.
Thank you - probably top 10 in the world in terms of original condition - never refinished and it looks like it is one year old home table when it is actually an early 1950 table. Those solid walnut rails are the nuts! Table came out of a deceased man’s home in Long Island NY about 5 years ago.

Yep, D'mond Pro's use that Timberstrand laminated for the frame. They build houses out of that stuff, super strong. As for the ProAm that plywood is super thick marine grade plywood. My only ProAm gripe is ball return, never a fan of br tables. IIRC you can custom order one with drops.
Same sentiment on the ball returns. I think you also need to take the top off the table to get into the return (someone can correct me there). Maybe need a little tracked drone to clean out all the dropped chalk in there... :ROFLMAO:

I'm also not a huge fan of how close to the edge of the table the legs are. I catch my toes on them all the time and i don't even have big feet.

Ordered a 9' Professional. Hopefully it's set up early summer.

the two tables i bought in the past i looked for an anniversary but couldnt find one. so i got an olhausen and an old brunswick venturer.
both are fun to play on with easy pockets compared to what most seem to want. i made a good choice.
but that's why its fun to play on them.

if you are looking to hone in your game to become a pro then sure get what they use in tournaments.

Diamond won and Brunswick lost- end of story. Brunswick’s most recent attempt to come back into the market at such a high price point with Chinese tables is a joke, IMO . Maybe the 7 plays like a Diamond IDK - but Brunswick lost their way in pool way back in the 80s /90s as a possible future leader that just let it all slip away concerning their billiard business.
I personally will not support Brunswick’s recent forays and refused to invest in a 7 for my new home- I am not a Diamond guy- so I went with a 3, the last ones made here in America.

I don't think Brunswick ever recovered from the AMF takeover.

AMF never ran B'wickCorp. or B'wick Billiards. B'wick sold their bowling side to AMF/Bowlmor but AMF never made B'wick tables. Harley-Davidson is a co. that barely survived AMF ownership. Some of the pool table confusion, including mine, was due to AMF making a GrandPrix that was a virtual twin of a GC. AMF had their own shop.

Not what I recall but then again, that was a long time ago! I'll differ to your memories, they seem more detailed than mine. I used to ride one of those AMF Harleys every month or two. I tuned it then had to take it for a test ride. It was almost new and I had just tuned it. In a dummy move I had moved to the outside of a narrow road to stay out of the oil and grease in the middle of the road. The ditch wasn't wide but it was deep and half full of nasty water. I took a long look at it when the clutch cable broke when I shifted at eighty. My foot was already committed when the cable broke and I stood that thing almost straight up and down. I eased off of the throttle and things worked out but I was seriously worried about a blow over. Even Lee jeans aren't enough protection sometimes and I don't remember if I had a hat on or not.

Amen to that!

When I watch those old Accu-Stats DVDs from the Sands Regency Tournament in Reno I can't tell if they are playing on a Gold Crown or on that AMF table. I think it was called the Advantage.

Unless Grady or Billy or Buddy said what table it was I couldn't really tell.
