Towns in Florida with established halls with 9’ tables

100 miles? That’s false. You mean I picked the best pool room in the area with more action than you could handle? How much did you lose? Players from Clearwater, Fl, are always in SW Florida looking for action.

If you're looking for a little one hole action, I'm sure that Jim would be happy to accommodate...

Just sayin'...
Pilot Who😂

Who are you, his manager? First off we could bet his statement is false and there are more rooms in the area with 9 footers than his pilot eyes can spy. Fort Myers’s area is a great place to spend the winter months so one good pool hall is all you really need.

I live in Clearwater, FL. I have 12 pool halls with 9’ tables within 30 minutes drive and another half dozen if we increase the drive to an hours. So, the St Pete area fits your ask.
Wow, I’ve been out of the game for awhile. Is there really that many around us? Never really thought about it and didn’t realize there’s that many in this area.

Brewlands Clearwater (best of the best)
Family Billiards - Clearwater
Stix Dunedin
Stix Oldsmar
Stix Palm Harbor
Stix Bay Pines
Strokers Palm Harbor (greatest houseman in the country, Rolando)
Crooked Cues Clearwater
CM Lee’s - Seminole
Long Stroke - Pinellas Park (formerly City Billiards)
Corner Pocket - Largo

It’s currently 11 within 30 minutes of me. Someone had tried to open one on 34th St N as part of the Smokin’ BBQ place, and they were open for a year or so, but the tables were junk. They were the 12th.

Knockin Boots in Largo has a 9’ table plus three 7’ tables.

Flamingos probably still has that front 9’ table

Ok, you got me, it’s only 75 miles😎 Clearwater is a long ways from Diamond Billiards. When I walk into a room there’s usually a waiting list to play me, I must be the only guy around with a job🤣 I lose plenty and win plenty also. It’s more fun than the casino's.

Southern only has one 9’ table. Diamonds is great, the 1P players there know me. I’m all ears if there’s another good room with more than one 9’ table even remotely close to Naples or Ft. Myers.

You bank in the pool room...you bank in the sky. Who are you?

“Yes DinF”? Is that supposed to be an insult? “ Who the fk are you”? I’m someone who gives good advice for starters. Go back and read the OP’s question and tell me I am wrong. Florida is great for us snowbirds and in my opinion SW is the best.

You picked the only room within a 100 miles that has more than 1 9’ table🤣 When I fly into Naples it’s a long drive to Diamonds, which is a great room with three tables that are tight for 1P.

From Stuart to Miami there must be 20-30 rooms with 9’ tables.
I just moved from Naples Florida back to the NE- do NOT go to the west coast of Florida for pool - what this person said is entirely true - you want to be on the east coast of Florida for nine foot pool rooms . I have my own table again here and could not be happier .

DinF...David in Florida. No insult intended...was referring to David in Florida. This a pool forum....known for light ball busting

Thank you.

I'm a snow bird also....where are you from...NY? Pa?
and in my opinion SW is the best.
Glad you're having fun. Welcome to Azb

Go East Coast.....The Diamonds bank better😂

if pool is so important rent or buy a place that can fit a table you want in.
other wise any pool room that doesn't have action or players hanging out is just a place to shoot.
the vast majority of pool rooms nowadays have no social life in them. or even enough customers to make it.

having a room that has monthly and daily rates that are fairly cheap will attract more players and be the spot to go.

Surprised no one brought up Classic in Lauderhill. I wasn't able to attend but the PLP was just held there.
You have Lucky 7 in Hollywood, two gold crown action one pocket tables with 3-7/8" pockets.
Paradise is my home room- there's always 20 or so guys in there during the day playing cheap sets
Grovers in West Palm does have bar boxes but they have 6 9' gold crowns. The good players play there including Meglino

If you bump around town enough you'll get all the action you want in Southeast Florida. The standard is high, a ton of good players this way.

if looking for good action you look for bad players that bet high and will give or take spots that they don't understand.

bad players like buckets, as they hang balls all day on tight pockets and any long shot is too tough to shoot.

Meanwhile, in the real world everyone knows everyone (or someone who knows x player), at least around here. But sure that would be a sweet spot.

I am pretty sure that with a bit of group effort, we can work together on turning a casual "DinF" into an insult. Pretty creative ppl at AzB!

Maybe so. If that is offending somehow someone please describe. Me? I cannot be insulted… I’m too ignorant.

A buddy of mine lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and they are opening up new rooms with 9' tables all around him. I think that place might become a pool capital.

Me, personally, I was in Sarasota a few times over the past few years, and went to Livingston Billiards in Bradenton, nearby. It was a very nice room.
