Unaware of mismatched ball sets in upcoming tournament.

In the hall I'm thinking about, several balls in each tray are just a tad smaller, but seem heavier and older, by the looks of the numbers on the stripes.
I try to put those on the corners and head ball.

In my area it seems to be or at least the places I play at.

I tend to be honest, sorry I hurt feelings. People should be happy having place to play.


If it is not to liking equipment is crap, dirty, owner is a-hole, or payouts or andded monies are not as advertised.

Cue ball.... I got Surfer Rod yrs ago on a 9', just after my shoulder operation, I couldn't break the balls well at all. Had em stuck good, I went to the bathroom.
Came back he switched the cb, I saw it right off, never said a word, was a good $350 score at Gradys room in Colorado Springs.
Never argue with a sucker if your making a side living playing pool.
Same room Black Bart came in, he told Grady he'd give em a game if he used, the Red Circle cue ball.
Gurgle gurgle ''no way''. Grady smiled.
First time I ever saw that ball, we always used the Centennials blue circle cb, heavier than that cb.
 
and never let anyone change the game to one that you do not have the best of it in.
or introduce a factor you do not understand that could affect your chances.

I disagree a bit here.
Yes, we should be happy that we have a place to play, BUT it’s not for free… we pay good money per hour and expecting decent equipment and maintenance is pretty basic.

I get what you are saying, I pay to use our community room. It is in venue with Bar, Bowling, and the bastard child Pool.

Pool make building no money, our table needs cloth bad.

We that use Pool Room are not important.

What we expect & get are two different things.

Is you local Pool Room Owner drive New Porsche, or junker.

Is the room profitable, or struggling. Owner open his book to you?

I know it sucks but your opponent is playing with the same crappy balls, don't add negative thoughts to your tournament, think of it like a rainy wet football field, it's not your favorite field to play on but you still have a chance to win, be the best on the crappy field, table, ect.

Would you prefer the red, or blue, given all things equal??

I like a heavier CB. Fits my style of play. I don't over run shape as often.
May have something to do with the cloth on these tables too.
 
The red was allot lighter cue ball than the centinnal set blue circle, so if you got on the wrong side of the ball, it often would offer the shooter to go the other way around 4 or five rails for shape. Back then playing roll out 9 ball, this was a big advantage for Osbourn and Grady knew that.

What level of tournament is this? Weekly Bar tournament or something more serious that should know better?
 
Some of the cueballs they use will fit just right in my cannon and that's where they belong. Ballbangers love the miniature tables with 6" pockets and they still want a spot.

How much are a set of dyna's now?? The suggestion was made to pick up a set and problem solved. Can a decent set of balls be had for a hundred bucks??
Guess I should check the for sale forum.
 
Bad Balls, Bad Tables, Bad Cloth is a handicap experience by everyone in a tournament, recall the OX Bar in Phoenix, AZ. Its had BAD EVERYTHING, but they still had full tournaments, and the people who could improvise, adapt, and overcome.........WON.
