EUROPEAN OPEN 2026, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, March 10-15

Finally, we are seeing some upsets. Labutis and Souto each losing 10-2 to players of whom I have never heard. [...]
Ermal Dyli is the number 3 in Albania behind a few Kaci's and ahead of a few others who travel more. Still an upset, but not as big a one as the Foster/Souto match

Wild seventh rack in the Gorst match. Fedor missed two chippies - shots I'd hit 99 of out of 100 - but he got bailed out by some weird mistakes by Arseni. Gorst down 6-1.

that jump was iffy, will leave the table quite often.. gotta hit it thick / cheat pocket and time the landing on the ob just right

Things are getting a little saucy now. Fedor is out, at the hands of the young Arseni, in a match that was not as competitive as the 10-6 final score might suggest. Eyeing the brackets, it seems likely we'll end up with an unexpected semifinalist.

Probably the worst game I have seen Gorst play. At times he looked like a barroom nervous Nelly.

How the heck do Hoang and FSR end up playing each other already! Capito vs Neuhausen in the other part of the Hoang-FSR bracket.

The Kaci brothers could end up playing for a semifinal spot.

My final Four based on current play: Zielinski, Filler, Hoang, Kaci. Arseni is the darkhorse.

Surprising, for, despite the loss to Josh in the final, Fedor played very well in the recent Las Vegas Open 10ball.

Duong's WNT ranking is presently #24. Why would you expect hm to draw easy in the round of 16?

That would be a great story for sure.

I doubt we've seen the last of the shockers. Your picks make a lot of sense. but stay tuned. I really like the way Alcaide is playing.

If WNT seeds solely by its rankings, Hoang would have been the 13th top seed. Just seemed a bit early for him to end up playing a player like FSR, and vice versa.

Hoang beat FSR in the PLP final. He's been playing as well as anyone this year not named Filler. Hoping he snaps off a big one.

Yeah, the seeding does look a little funny. Wonder exactly what the seeding methodology is.

Agreed about Duong. It will be a great story if and when he wins a major. The pool-loving nation of Vietnam, the undeniable home of the game's greatest fans, deserves to see one its own hoisting the trophy at a major. Who knows? Maybe this is his week.

Despite the loss, it's easy to see that Yannick Pongers will be elite one day. He is a highly skilled cueist who needs more seasoning, but he appears to be on a good track.

i haven't seen wiktor yet, but he must obviously be running out like crazy with those scores. i will root for him (and get disappointed). hoang and filler have each played almost perfect matches on the tv table. will be tough to stop either one

I'm not convinced we are seeing Filler at full steam yet. Yes, even his "B" game will always wow us, and, just like Mike Sigel, he tends to get stronger later in tournaments. but let's see how well he plays tomorrow.

I haven't seen Duong or Zielinski yet but, from what I've seen, Alcaide looks to be in superb form right now and looks super-dangerous.

good point, david's definitely one to never count out. and is a previous winner, too

duong has been incredible from what i've seen. i guess he rides a streak after PLP, looks super calm (as always) and confident. almost played TPA 1.000 in L64.
