Iowa…can’t get there from here! Reminds me of league play for some reason. Maybe it’s the table size or the garish shirts that remind me of the movie “Three Billboards…”

I was wondering how the Iowa 10-Ball Shootout and Open events turned out. The ultimatepoolusa.com website shows all the match results. Here are the top few.

I'll be honest. For me the novelty of the 8 ball format was starting to wear thin. The barbox 10 ball will keep me invested in future events, if UPUSA opt to keep it of course.

Generally, too easy scoring winning in sports isn't enjoyable like watching NBA or paint dry.
Watched an event few months ago, started off ok when you watch top guy vs a weaker player. Then when top WPA/WNT (SVB, Sky) play top UK 8 ball (Cousins), they might as well just play race to 1. Both sides running out. Boring. 💤 What pattern? Pattern is overrated with these top FR 800+ their CB and potting is so good on these baby tables that pattern less important to them.
And that event I watched only had few WPA/WNT (SVB, Sky, Justin) and they were dominating. If prizemoney was same as WPA/PBS/WNT, planeloads of WPA/WNT FR800+ would show up and it would be a massacre. Cousins would have to call up his "cousins" like Potts, Mick but even they would be slight underdog against these big name FR800+ on these big ball small tables. The UK top guys would be favorite though on those small (yellow/red) balls , small British pool tables.:LOL:

Shhhhhh, you will upset people that think barbox 8ball is a difficult game because that's what they play in their league.
