How do LOW-COST CARBON FIBER SHAFTS Perform Compared to the Best?

I bought the Rhino shaft 2-3 years ago when it first made all the hoopla on these forums. It had noticeably higher CB deflection than any Predator shaft I've ever played, including 314-1's. I put it back in the box and its been sitting there since. I would have made it my "leave in the car year round cue" if it was the same.

IDK if I buy the results. Did they change the shaft design?
I tried a couple of them friends had at the pool hall. When I played revos, the deflection was unusually low, like it was surprising. I didn't get that impression from the Rhinos I tried. The 12.9 with a hard tip seemed maybe similar to my 314, I didn't miss a lot. I thought the 12.5 with the stock tip hit like mush, hard to get a feel for it.

The 12.9 was purchased within the last year.

Not sure you can call that deflection, pretty sure it was a double hit. Not good by any means, but not really deflection.

Agreed. The bad slow-speed hits caused by the soft tip on the Rhino had nothing to do with CB deflection.

Based on what I saw during the slow-speed tests, I agree.
I like the video, bu

I’ve installed the Time Crystal tip on multiple playing cues with good results. The Rhino tip has even made a lower-end cue play more like a higher-end one. Still, I think more testing is needed before drawing any firm conclusions.
