Be Very Careful With Jmonche

New member
I looked back. Seems to have a lot of transactions but something weird is going on. Maybe someone hacked his account.

Short version we came to a deal on the SW he had listed. He flipped out when I asked him to provide a video of the packaging process (I needed this to have insurance through my carrier which I was providing him the label). Essentially wanted me to take all the risk with regards to sending payment and shipping liability. So no deal.

Fast forward to today. I got a call from
My accountant and I fared much better this year than anticipated so I reached back out and told him I’d be willing to gamble $7500 that he does the right thing. First I text him this with no response. Then sent him a dm told him I text him to let me know. I followed it with a public post in the FS thread that I sent him a DM. He replied and said he wasn’t “receiving texts to DM on cue stuff”. I dm’d him back told him I’d take all the risk on our original agreed price.

One hour later the thread is gone.

This new guy, Mgunter, is a real gem. He has been pressuring me, bullying me, trolling me, insulting me. I don’t trust him so I do not want to sell to him. Nothing matches up with him. He comes off as Mr. Moneybags and dictates everything. I thought he was scamming me so I pulled the plug on negotiating a deal and asked the mods to remove the thread…..now he writes this crap. Enough said.

For your info I wrote that yesterday after you removed your for sale thread which I posted in.

Everything matches up with me. You sir are the one that does not know how to conduct business.

Not quite sure where he did anything to be reporting. You guys couldn't agree on a deal so you stopped it. That's how it should be.
You decide you want to restart it, he doesn't. Nothing wrong there either.

Exactly, There was NO transaction here. I don't trust the guy. He might be a great and honest person, but my gut and 20+ years of outstanding deals on AZB tells me to be extra cautious. This is an expensive and rare cue. I need to be 100 percent sure of the person and address to whom and where I would be sending it.

We had a deal in place (I have the texts to
Prove it) and now for a second time he withdrew.

I wrote this because of 2 things. One you read the first 2 sentences, it felt like something was “off” or that someone had hacked his account. Secondly to advise people if you have a deal in ace as we did, he just as likely to turn around and say I changed my mind. In my world that isn’t acceptable. When you have a deal, or write things like “sold to you” , “mazal”, etc your word is your bond.

But you said it was no deal because he expected you to take all the risk, wasn't the the end of his offer?

I think if the terms of a sale are not good with both parties then its time to move on. With 157 postive deals on here the seller is one of the best but maybe the buyers request also seemed like some type of new scam here...but no reason to hang dirty laundry out here. As a new member here the trust is with the guy with 157 postive. These types of high dollar transactions are pretty much never covered by shippers no matter what . A 7500 sw is not going the be covered for 7500. Its whatever sw charged for the cue originally at best. Best bet is to hop on a plane to the superbilliards expo next week and deal in person. JMO

It’s good that deal didn’t go through, otherwise sour results will come after. Just take it as a lesson and move on. You rather not deal with this than later on slashes each other on a bad deal. Believe me, for 7500$, you can find many cues and deals on azbilliard in a later time. Good luck and i believe This is a dead horse issues. Leave it be and let admin delete the thread.

Also, I will be at booth 735 n 736, if yall interested to come and see some cues and test out my new promote Cue company “Hornet Cue”. Free prize and gifts later all the day.

Your exact words copied from text:

OK, I will sell it to you…..let me figure out the rest of this stuff.

And copied from a DM you sent this morning:

However, I will sell you the cue because I originally agreed to do that.

But you said it was no deal because he expected you to take all the risk, wasn't the the end of his offer?
We had a deal in place. HE changed the terms. I didn’t agree to his “new” terms. I had something fortunate happen so o decided to agree to HIS new terms to which he replied at 6:58am this morning…

However, I will sell you the cue because I originally agreed to do that.

And now again he has changed his mind after a deal was in place.

Let it go, Sir. You’re not doing yourself any favors here.

I had agreed to sell the cue, provided that he could be verified. He conveniently left the part of me being able to verify him out.
Bottom line: I could not verify this person. And there has been an epidemic of scammers on AZ the past couple of years.

The bottom line here is that I cannot send out an expensive cue to a person who has a Tennessee phone number and says he lives in Florida, but the Florida address on Zelle does not list him as a CURRENT occupant. He also wanted to pay with PayPal Goods & Services initially. I tried to make this work, but my gut says don't do it.
I don't think anyone would take such a risk

Um I don’t, and have never had Zelle so how exactly did you see my Florida address on my Zelle?

My Florida address is on ALL forms of payment and both my bank accounts.

Regarding my number, welcome to the 20th century. Most people I’ve done business with have cell phones and when they move, they keep their cell phone numbers, especially if it’s (like in my case) tied to my business.

I told you you could verify me through Alex on here, or Eddie P with Crossroads Cue. That didn’t seem to be good enough.

And I offered, just this morning, to take a picture of my water bill and car insurance bill and send to you.

just let it goes bro, some people are paranoid and also have issues of trust, especially when it’s 5000+ items. This is yall first time dealing with business, so he does has the right to act that way. If you need someone act as an escrow service, I can help yall out. I’ll inspect the cue make sure it’s it’s good and send the $$ to the seller and ship the cue to buyer.

Im happy to send you the money if Joe will trust you to send you the cue without the money being in his pocket.

His decision obviously.

Zillow, not Zelle, that was a brain fart, sorry, I am old.
And thank you, MGunter, for welcoming me to the "20th Century" and in turn I would like to welcome you to the 21st Century, the one that we are in right now.
I am old, but not stupid, and if you are going to talk down to a person, do your homework....It's the 21st Century.
Pretty sure cellphones came out in the 20th century although I may be wrong.

This is my final post in this thread. To quote KenneyTran, it's a "dead horse." You are a wise man, Kenney, and a great asset to AZ and I thank you for the offer to broker a sale.
However, there is no way I want to pursue a deal with Mgunter. He failed to earn my trust and dealing with him would be a huge risk.
However, I wish him well and hope that he has success in future deals, but none will be with me.

To the mods: Please delete this thread. No money changed hands here. There was no transaction, just a disagreement during negotiating that put a halt to the sale. People should not be allowed to post in this "Transactions" thread unless money or goods have actually changed hands. No one should be criticized for exercising caution. There are enough scams that take place on this site.

Joe's a great seller and great buyer! Joe, you had a beautiful cue and fair for you to be wary with an unproven new member. Mg, you didn't have anything to worry about; it's a fair amount of money, but Joe is well known and a trusted seller. But at this time probably best for both sides to part ways....
