On the last episode of Stephen Hendry's youtube channel they were discussing various players chances and Steve Davis said he didn't think John Higgins had the stamina for a full tournament anymore. This makes it seem like he doesn't have the stamina for a full match.
I read that 50-year-old John Higgins now has a second role as a broadcaster. I have trouble understanding the Scot when he speaks, but I'm sure he'll be sharing some delicious wisdom nuggets in his commentary, which will make it all worthwhile. It makes me wonder if he’s able to put in the same hours of preparation he once did before tournaments like this with the new job.
A few years ago, he lost 50 pounds in 5 months by "spinning" on high-intensity stationary exercise bikes, which were convenient when he traveled because most hotels have them in their exercise rooms.
That said, I still really enjoy watching him in action. There’s something about the way he carries himself, especially when he smiles, win or lose, that makes him a pleasure to watch.
