The guy is a fantastic match player!I might be one of the few people not related to Selby that actually enjoys watching him play.

The archives provide a look at Judds last match. I only saw the second session so watching the first while waiting for Ronnie.the match of the day for me will be Session 2 of Ronnie O'Sullivan v. Hu Guoqiang at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
I have not look at the draw but hope it has Judd and Ronnie in the finals as a possible.
Just listened to Judd described as, "A Natural" in his battle with Gary Wilson.
Wonder what they will call Ronnie.![]()
Off we go.

Ronnie is forcing the referee to wear running shoes. The Rocket with 13 second shot average.
Gary Wilson talking about his struggle with the yips. Never saw the match, but the stats that popped up during it would make you think he played well despite being so frustrated with his performance. As an aside, we were talking about players accents earlier in the thread, I find Wilson's Geordie accent quite pleasant to listen to.
Five years ago, I was researching Gary Wilson for a Facebook post and came across this info, which I shared: The Wallsend 35-year-old endured 6 years off the tour and took jobs as a taxi driver, a barman, and a production line worker in a frozen foods factory before grasping his second chance. Wilson said: "I dropped off the tour and I wasn't good enough to get back on. I was having all these uncertain times when I didn't know if I was going to be a pro again. I was desperate to get back on the tour and just scrape a living. So to go from that point to where I am now, in the one-table set-up, is absolutely amazing and the sort of thing you dream of."Gary Wilson talking about his struggle with the yips. He was at the 9 ball Scottish Open a few years back, presume he was a late entry as he'd literally been knocked out of the snooker World Championship a day or 2 before the Scottish open started. Him and SVB were sitting chatting together, SVB wanted to know everything about what it was like to be a pro snooker player and Gary was just as interested in learning about being a pro pool player. They both seemed fascinated by each other. Was quite a cool conversation to overhear. Saw him get beaten very convincingly by Ralf Souqet that day, but notice he's had some more respectable results in pool since.Five years ago, I was researching Gary Wilson for a Facebook post and came across this info, which I shared: The Wallsend 35-year-old endured 6 years off the tour and took jobs as a taxi driver, a barman, and a production line worker in a frozen foods factory before grasping his second chance. I've always had a soft sport in my heart for Gary Wilson after reading about his snooker journey. His dad, of course, supports him 100 percent. He got married to his lovely wife Robin in 2021.
It was really cool to see Gary compete on the WNT event in Lugo, Spain. He was there was his pops, and they dressed up like Romans. I think this guy on the left is a friend.

my friend sent me a clip of that as he was impressed with the escape and I think I was just as impressed with how Wilson laid the snooker as I was Trumps escape. As you said he played it drop dead perfect, he had a bout a balls width space to get behind the colour and judged both the weight and line of the shot to perfection.the Judd Trump escape kick into pocket jaws from Wilsons drop dead perfect safety was a beauty
that had to just suck all life out of Wilson
