Ghost chalk

Fedor just released a a Q&A about his chalk on YouTube.

A few key notes:

1) he says it is not Taom in any way, shape, or form. "Completely different."

2) No blue yet because "he" can't get that formulation to perform how he wants. Only green and grey, currently, but working on blue.

3) No chalk-holders yet. In fact, he somehow had no clue that a lot of people ("everybody") used them.

That last one is a huge gaffe. People who use magnetic chalk holders can't even try it out without scrambling for a solution or disrupting their PSRs.

That would be "scrambling." Are those sold next to Ghost chalk? Do people know how to buy them? Your post doesn't actually help anyone looking for that solution.

Anyone could glue a metal slug or coin to the bottom and use a magnet. But people looking for an elegant or cleaner solution are still SOL (for example, my holder is covered so chalk doesn't go everywhere inside my bag).

It's just surprising that Fedor didn't even think about it, both from a practical perspective as a pool player, and from a business perspective of selling accessories. All of Gorst, his personal business partners, and his chalk business partners whiffed on that.

Both of those versions have lids.

I would glue a washer or a coin to my chalk (magic chalk, then V10, then Pagulayan) and use a magnet (I used the Outsville one). Now I use the Pagulayan magnetic system. To me this solution works best because you can use the full chalk without having to worry about the chalk holder making the chalk unusable when it gets too low.

Oh and I keep my chalk in the little 2 chalk boxes so everything stays clean in my case.

But yes, I agree that Fedor should have had a chalk holder ready.

This doesn’t surprise me. I’ve seen many low marking chalks out of China in other colours (like green or grey) but blue seems harder to duplicate. I haven’t seen one that comes close to Taom or Pagulayan in blue.
