Capito vs Gorst in the last 128.
Brutal draw for both.

yea he brought this on himself by arriving hours before the first match. but it was definitely worth it, financially..

Frankie Hernandez has been a fixture in the American pool scene for decades. It may be that you're not as familiar with the New York City pool scene. At one point, the Seminole Tribe of Florida sponsored five players, and Frankie was one of them, along with Corey Deuel, Joey Korsiac, and I forget the other two. Frankie also worked full-time, but he continued to be a regular on the American pool tournament trial, to include the weekend regional tours like Joss NE 9-Ball Tour.Mr Frankie is a 717 fargo from NY. Never heard of the guy, and I'm fine with him airing his displeasure, but saying if had more practice he would have won both matches...OK bro
I appreciate the knowledge of Mr Hernandez and again I said he was fine to criticize the conditions. I'm not saying he lost because he didn't practice beforehand, but in my opinion, not being able to run a few racks of balls before a match seems odd in a professional tournament. And I understand 100 percent his frustration after expending that amount of money to be there. I'm not sure why anyone would find this funny.
And FWIW, I've never heard of you either, but that doesn't mean you're not capable of playing pool on a higher level, unless you're one of the chattering railbirds who wants to appear as if they're a pool aficionado. Okay, Bro?

Yeah not quite there yet, still has some growing to do. I'm not out on him thoughWonder when WNT/MR is going to fall off the AJ Manas bandwagon. The kid doesn't have what it takes to be a top player, not yet anyway.
Yep, it's a bit unfortunate - it rarely gets that hot, and if it does it'll be July or August. To be fair though, there are plenty of large air conditioned venues. It never ceases to amaze me that, when in the UK, I can walk into a high street chain store that has the AC on when the ambient outside temperature is between 17 and 23 degrees. Even when it's 14 or 26 that's ridiculous. To be fair it was the hottest it's ever been in May in history on the first day of this event!
In a WNT post-match interview with snooker champion Stuart Bingham, he mentioned that the snooker tour had an event in this same venue during winter months. He said it was really cold inside, and the snooker players complained, weren't too happy —- or words to that effect.|Yep, it's a bit unfortunate - it rarely gets that hot, and if it does it'll be July or August. And while we are here let's go a step further - even in hot countries you don't need AC most of the time - unless it is really hot. We've all seen the old pool vids from the Philippines (and there are plenty of Sinuca vids from Brazil) where people didn't say, "it's too hot". They just play and make their shots.

He also mentioned his 50th birthday was this week, and that if he's still in it, his wife had made plans for the family to celebrate this weekend.
Since I posted this, he's won 4 racks in a row and now leads 4-3.Styer has regressed massively and looks out of his depth vs Neushausen.
If he's on the Mosconi Cup team then Team USA are in a lot of trouble.
