Myself of course!!
I don't need the emotive boost others may derive by owning one made for say, SVB or any other famous player you can think of.
I have enuf confidence in my knowledge of this game to order a cue with specs best suited for my style of play.
One made for someone else, ie: famous player, might hit like crap in my hands and vice versa.
Had too much time on my hands today fellas.
Gimme the axe on the far right with diamonds in the butt. Always did like those and the color inlay he used in that cue.
I have confidence the man builds a superior playing cue, his reported questionable business practices another matter. I think all of us afflicted souls seek the perfect instrument, whether a sneaky pete or $7500ish classic design Dennis seems to favor.
Correct. Equal or even better. The key word is EVEN. I tell people we are Even...Even worse than before. To be a little more vague it's proper to Even this out. Even A CaveMan can do it.Equal or even better?

Best way to be 100% unsure about your deposit or cue is to find out the hard way. Send either.
They can just list the makers that are equal or better lol

What do you think causes that effect? You wrote the forward weighting helped cause it but can you be more specific?
For example, many cues have butts at about 14 ounces and shafts 4 ounces. Black Blade sells cues with butts that can weigh 9 oz versus shafts varying from 4 to 10 ounces. Now, that can be beaucoup forward weighting but I'm guessing this is not the forward weighting you are talking about.
I figured cues weigh less than they seem because the weight is evenly distributed the length of the cue instead of a cue with a two-ounce weight at butt end.
Because I played with McDermott's (usually much more butt heavy) for many years not being able to afford more expensive cues that are setup in the SW style and design (weight forward, same pin but different hit). I played well with both but I no longer own any McDermott's except the one I gave my dad from a tournament win that will probably be passed back to me at some point. They both had similar butt and shaft weights but the balance point and butt diameter is what differed noticeably.
