Funny pic/gif thread...

Craig Montana, on the upper Madison River. Fly-fishing bucket list for many.
Don't forget about the Big Horn River the moss is starting to grow and the fresh water shrimp and all the other interesting bugs will be hatching like there's no tomorrow !
A 9' 5 weight forward fly line on you're fly rod is a good idea for most days , on others a 9' 3 weight can be a fun time with plenty of backing !

You haven't lived as a fisherman until you have waded out into the water and started casting to some rising trout then hear a slurping sound near by of a trout sucking down midge bundles ( these bugs clump up into a ball nearly the size of a quarter or larger at times ) then feel a big fish rub up against you're leg as another fish takes you fly !
As the sun fades away in the western sky !

My buddy Bryan left home for Montana almost 20 years ago now. I thought he’d get himself a mountain woman, but he’s still livin’ that bachelor life. Makes it sound as if his hardest decision is whether to take the drift boat or jet boat. I try to live vicariously through him.

He was telling me one of his favorite trips is on the Little Bighorn River called a “cast and blast” trout fishing/duck hunt. Said you’ll be fighting a fish and have to tuck the rod away, so you can pick up your shotgun. Someday I’ll make it up there.

So this isn’t too far off thread; have you ever taken a piss on the continental divide and thought that someday it would end up in the Atlantic and Pacific?

A cast and blast fishing / hunting trip on the Little Big Horn would be difficult at best .
Over the bluff in the Big Horn River it's quite common , I have fished both and favor the big horn over the Little Big Horn .
I've moved from that area but still have friends down in that area I may even know or heard of your friend if he's living around the big horn river .

Cast and blast from a drift boat could be sporty!
