🎈About Billy Webb🎈

🧶 Well, Billy Web known on AZ Billiards as Spiderweb is is one of my favorite cue makers.
I tried, had and have cues from all the makers and can say without any doubt that his cues are one of the best playing cues i have ever tried. Amazingly consistent so if you like one, you will like them all. They have medium stiff hit that is more on stiff side and are balanced perfectly.
I see lots of cues that have a huge amount of followers that can't even get in the same sentence with Billy's cues. That's how great they are.
People tell me lots of times....it would look nicer with a leather wrap or you should have changed the wrap on this one into leather or i would replace it with a leather wrap. But, Bill liked using linen and they look great with linen. Linen was his trademark along with butterfly points in his late cues so, no, i won't change a wrap on any of them nor would i suggest you to do that if you have hs cue.
They are perfect exactly like they are.

Billy Webb, has worked for many years on perfecting his cue making abilities. He was a very humble individual who rarely tut-es his own horn, and this more than anything has prevented him from receiving the recognition he greatly deserves. Billy built his cues along the lines and using the parabolic taper developed by David Paul Kersenbrock and also used in South West and Bender Custom Cues.

He mostly built cues that have six points three high and three low with Veneers in most cases. However, over the years he has been perfecting Butterfly Spliced cues in addition to his six point cues. The Butterfly Spliced cues that Billy built are very unique and include a combination of standard points in conjunction with Butterfly points. Very few cue makers can make cues that are even similar to these Butterfly cues due to the overlapping veneers form Butterfly Splice to Butterfly Splice.

Bill was a glazier by trade. In the eighties he left Seattle and ended up in Texas. While there he would visit Richard Black in his shop. That sparked his interest in building cues. I shipped him a Titlist which he soaked in a bathtub to disassemble. He learned a lot from that. After a few years in Texas he came back to Seattle. He and I tried to build cues together. Unfortunately that didn't work out. He tried working with several others in the area. He got together with Dave Jones and called their cues Finish Line. After a few years they split up. From there Bill went on to learn from other great cue builders around the country. Eventually he moved Costa Rica to be with a girlfriend. He would call occasionally. Somehow he ended up in Columbia and owned a pool hall. 6 tables and slot machines in the back room. He ran tournaments and won every one of them. Soon he had to quit playing. His players refused to play if he played. That was the last I heard from him. Read about his death on azb.
