Greetings to All,

My name is Katie.
I'm a daily player writing from Eugene, Oregon.
My husband and I are designers and builders as well as pool players, motivated to elevate the quality of lighting over the tables we all play on.
We have recently built up a line of lighting for billiards tables, (as well as lighting for home and hospitality), under the name Ablaze Luminaire.

Currently, we are looking to expand our product photo library, as well as get our lights over some new tables.
If you're in the Eugene/Springfield area and are open to letting us temporarily hang a light over your table for a quick photoshoot, we’d be mighty grateful.
If you're looking for a serious lighting upgrade for your home table or local bar, we're currently taking orders.

We're also open if you have feedback or if you just want to talk lighting specs, so feel free to write back.

Cheers!

Welcome. 👍

Before you are inundated with questions, describe the differentiators between your product and what Diamond makes for their tables and what Litman makes.

No offense but all i see is a pretty wood box light. Might have a home table market but with serious players not so much. How much are the two shown?

That is what I see, but I'd have one of those over a diamond IKEA light any day, as long as the light produce was comparable.

Six months ago I moved back to the Northeast. I had a nice GC3 installed on my third floor finished room below my attic. The table and table install were very reasonable - my biggest shock was trying to hire an electrician to install a basic 4 lamp billiard light - see below photo.
Two electrical companies wanted $1800 just install my light - I finally found one guy to do it for $750. He used two ladders and a wood plank to stand over the table- a junction box was installed in the attic to attach the light.
Just letting you know that electrician and plumber rates are simply outrageous - so keep the light install procedure simple as possible.
My third floor six hour install of this 1200 pound table up 3 flights of stairs was only $500 to keep things IMG_3517.jpegIMG_3515.jpegIMG_3630.jpegIMG_3632.jpegin perspective.

Thank you for your questions! The main contrasts lie in the color temperature, the method of light diffusion and the overall style.
We opted to set our lights at 4000k, though this setting can easily be customized per customer. We can go up to 6000k.
Littman and Diamond are between 5000k and 5500k.

Rather than using parabolic reflectors, we use a 70% transmission acrylic panel for diffusion.

We design and build each light ourselves. We prefer the warmth of wood and brass over aluminum.

No offense taken and this is interesting input that we want to hear.
(Of note, we are working to get our lights hung above a table for a photo shoot.)

What factors would you say serious players are looking for that this light doesn't provide?

In terms of the prices, the New Standard is regularly $699 but is on sale now for $525. The Classic 1'x4' is regularly $1,199 but is on sale for $900.
