SVB vs Fedor race to 50 starts this Saturday July 11th at 6pm EST and continues on Sunday July 12th at 4pm EST
Matchroom rules, 9 ball on the spot/ alternate break / 3 fouls in row is a loss / nine ball on the break counts as a win

$20k to the winner and they move on to the next opponent (tbd) in the challenge series

Predictions?

what is important and hardly ever made public is what each one is getting guaranteed, not what they are so called playing for. that could be any amount.

20k directly to the winner to keep? and what does the loser get, nothing? if he gets anything then they are no longer playing for 20k. just the difference.
and of course how much of their own personal money is put up.

other wise its just an exhibition. with some amount going towards the winner.

What about ego?
What about being the best?
Even if the difference is just $1, there are more things on the line than can translate to bigger money.

honestly, i think Shane doesnt care what people think anymore. He got his world championship a few years ago, that was his white whale his entire career. Fedor already beat Shane in a race to 120 so he can hang his hat on that. Its an exhibition, nothing more.

Now, if Filler accepts the invite to play the winner then we're talking about ego and who's currently the big dog

If it’s just an exhibition, I expect 3 rail banks on the nine ball.

I hope that is not true with Shane, but I also agree it is more of an exhibition (they are both defiantly making some sort of $$ that is undisclosed). Nonetheless, it is great for Pool.

I also agree about Filler..that would be a awesome if he said he would play winner!

ego?? thats for those that haven't made any accomplishment. no one that is great plays for ego.

if they did then they would never have gotten great.

I feel that Shane will kick butt and take names ! I think he's been doing some fishing since I've not seen him playing in any tournaments but I could be wrong .
However , if he's been out fishing he's recharging his batteries and be refreshed with a renewed hunger to win ?

Time will tell !

They played two races to 120 in the last two years, both in 10-Ball:
August 2024 -- SVB won 120-116
June 2025 -- Gorst won 120-78
Even though this is 9-ball, these two definitely have been on a see-saw back and forth for wins. Definitely, ego comes into play, even though they're friends.

Nobody likes to lose. Show me a loser, and I'll show you a loser.

Same time as the Norway v. England quarterfinals at the FIFA World Cup in Miami. A great day for sports! Pool and Erling Haaland! Simply the best!

Scott Frost (who I think is involved in promoting these matches) asked Filler on the Boom and Freezer podcast if he'd play the winner and Filler said yes. Scott also got annoyed that Fedor had called the match an exhibition
