Another vanGogh at Peacock Billiards

I had the painter - Anne Ehrlich - that did my 8’x10’ vanGogh with a billiard table thirty years ago when she was 17, do another vG. This time the Wheatfield with Crows at 12’x6’. It is out in the patio of the biz because there is no more room for large art inside. It took her 50 hours. She was working from an authentic print from Amsterdam. So colour and layout and brushwork are quite exact.

Beautiful room

Peacock Billiards is a great hall. I was crushed when i visited last year and saw the last snooker table was gone - replaced by pool tables.
The two snooker tables got some use during the day, but at night they stood empty. Most nights we have a waiting list for pool tables at some time; Friday and Saturday for 5 or 6 hours. The snooker tables were costing me tens of thousand$ a year. A great shame, really, in the hometown of Cliff Thorburn, the first snooker world champion outside of the Great Britain. Just business.
