I have great luck with everybody who has responded to my requests. I’ll give Runde a A+, as well as Pete Sr., Dennis and a dark horse Robert Harris who got screwed in the Sly debacle IMHO. Bob Owen referred by Bava, was also a joy. Harris built a cue Larry N purchased from my business partner and me for his lady. I don’t Larry would of ok’d anything less than his expectations.

I really believe we should promote the guys and companies that really do care. I love to impart knowledge on the new players. I think SVB is great and get the Cuetec endorsement but I remember him w the Schon/joss combo, if I recall correctly.
 
I second Bob Dzuricky. I've heard other players (in real life) say great things about Mike Webb, though I've never personally dealt with him.
 
3rd. vote for Bob Dzuricky. Made me a perfect Ebony Titlist Tribute off an MVP Blank, it's just fantastic. I'm now working with Kelly, MVP Cues, on a Purple Heart Titlist. Cory Barnhart has always been a pure joy to work with.
I know guys on here have a sour opinion of Lee Pepper, but I never had one single issue and the 2 cues he made me were 2 of the best I've ever played with. That doesn't diminish what he had done to other Customers, just my personal experience. Brian.

Back in 1989 I was in MD for a short bit. Called the shop and asked if I could stop by and design a cue. I don't recall all the steps we went through, but we spent a good amount of time with pen/ink and colored pencils coming up with a design.
Most recently, I worked with Jake at Pechauer to make some alterations to a P19-R.
Both Dan and Jake were great to work with.

My RB will probably always be my favorite playing cue of all time- never to be sold. I bought it directly from him at the 2002 SBE. He held the cue for me while I went to an ATM to get the cash that he only accepted. I worked for the credit card division of a major bank and they opened up the ATM limit for me on a Saturday in order to get the $1350 cash. See photo R Black1.JPG
 
Without question, Bob Owen………I only had him build me 2 customs but from the very outset, he became my pal.
We occasionally wager on baseball games between the Royals & Yankees. He still owes me a autographed $10 bill
from our last wager but truth be told, money seldom gets exchanged. It’s more about bragging rights ‘til our next bet.

Mr. Owen’s cue making is meticulous, his cooperation unparalleled and reliability, you can “Forget About It”. When Bob
tells you your cue will be ready, rest assured it will be completed & delivered on time, aside from actual shipping time.
How fast it reaches you is on the shipping carrier you prefer be used. If your cue is tardy reaching you, it’s the carrier.
