SVB has made only one mistake this whole match, which was missing a kick from a lock-up safety Boanan played, giving Boanan BIH, which he failed to capitalize on. Shane is playing some of the best pool I've ever seen right now.

AJ would have made that 5-ball he missed at 9-8 if it was earlier in the match. He was making much tougher shots than that one. Dunno why AJ lost the eye. He didn’t outwardly appear affected by Styer’s comeback. But probably was.

Too bad. I like watching the kid. I would love to see him win one soon.

I played Baoanan at Turning Stone coupke events back, not expecting to be really competitive. It became obvious when I played him that he had a little dog in him. He has a great dane in him versus SVB. If a couple rolls didn't go his way versus me, it was going to be very close.

The double elimination side is purely so the top talent gets through and not a lesser player due to the draw. Once through, it's all fair game.
