I picked this up a long time ago and always wanted to find out who might of been the maker.
The other day i was looking up george Balabuska early cues and it made me go to my collection and pull it out and looked at this a little closer.
I know it's not a balabuska but i think it was from the same time period.
I was thinking it might be a early Morgan but i don't know for sure. For all i know
it could just have someone's name on it and been made by anyone in the 50s
any help from the experts in this field would be greatly appreciated

most makers back then would put owners name not theirs on cue.

I got it from a dealer in Battle creek michigan
Battle creek hosted a lot of players through the years and even more players from out of town came to see if they could cash in?
The billiard dealer was my backer and a collector
i got a lot of collectibles from him
detroit to kazoo to grand rapids
but they came from everywhere
pretty boy- archer Shannon grady sang lee corn bread cliff
the names never stopped

It looks like late 30''s early 40's Brunswick that had a name plate added. Something Brunswick would do in house if the customer requested. Similarly both Mueller's and AE Schmidt would take Brunswick base cues and add a name plate.

Interesting to a small segment of collectors but not overly valuable or desirable.

Not a Mike Miller cue - he was much later as a maker under the Morgan name. Nameplates like that - often ivory - go way back from early 1900s forward to 40s maybe some in the 50s.

I agree.

Looks "factory". Not uncommon. They were easily ordered with a name plate.

But if it is from Brunswick, it certainly could have had Herman Rambow's hands on it, though we wouldn't call it a Rambow cue.
