The ref is playing follow the leader with the player at the table, making sure to stand behind him. Even getting in his way at times.

On a critical push out by Alex where he is bridging over two balls the ref fails to move to where he can see the shot. He stays behind Alex and couldn't see a touch foul if it happened.

Once again who trains these guys? They need to fire him and get a real ref to train them! These refs are like hood ornaments.

This is so typical of what I've learned about China. Everything is done on the cheap.Just make it look good. They are selling a low priced car here now called a BYD. it looks real cool but it's junk. Like a new look Yugo. Same for Chinese made electronics and appliances. Made to last a year at best.

Pretty sure the statistics show there is little or no difference.

Whatever. People will disagree about this forever. I prefer winner break, but I were king, I would stop the winning player from breaking again again once he got to the hill. The losing player would break until he lost the match or the score went hill-hill. At which point the player who had been leading would break the final rack. Or they could do a lag again.

Too confusing perhaps, so it will never happen.
