suggestions on changing the break rules in big tournaments

since tournaments keep adding rules so mine are:

each one is individual not cumulative

1. break from centerline so break is more luck(random), and exciting.
2. spot all balls made on the break
3. scratch on break, cue ball behind the line
4. rotate break, doesnt change set winner much, but winning a game should not give an edge in the following game.
5. fill in yours

nice to have a dream. nothing we say or wish for here is ever going to happen.

Agreed. I watched some of the recent US Open matches as I was sweating bets I had on them. Past that, I’m just not interested anymore, MR has ruined it for me. Substandard tables at the majority of their events, grey cloth, funky colored balls and rule changes.

Also as you mentioned, commentary as well. I actually really liked JJ and Scott Frost when they started with Accustats, both very knowledgeable with good insights. Sadly as they have come under the employ of MR they seem to have forgotten pool terminology and comment in Snooker terminology exclusively, kissing their new bosses asses I suppose. Then there’s that Phil Yates clown, I don’t know how he got a job, must be someone’s nephew. All in all, MR’s attempts to attract a viewing audience has alienated me. I miss Accustats.

Don't forget the stupid pink 4 purple 5 thing either. If all I ever watched was MR I would probably get used to it but since MR is only 10-20% of what I watch I am always forced to correct myself and think about the next balls when the player is on the 3. As a viewer I shouldn't be required to think that hard just to follow a game.
