George Breedlove has a lot of heart. In the mid-1990s, I saw him play Joe Frady in the finals of a McDermott Tour event in Virginia. Coming from the one-loss side, he had to beat Frady twice. He struggled in the first set but pushed through and barely won. He came on strong in the second set and won handily.

George never played cheap. He bet high every time out! George was also a successful businessman.

I remember him doing carpentry...was he involved in ither businesses..?

he was one of those players that i thought did not look like a really good player. but he was.
i dont think he hit the road too much but could have done well.

He came through Tallahassee when I was in college and smoked everyone. There was a pits on the golf team that hung out in the pool hall thinking he was a player and George destroyed him. Beat him out of all the money his parents gave him for that month and his shoes and cue. I loved it! A few weeks later I went home to Clearwater and George showed up at my room and tried to match up with Bubba for some big sets, but it never happened. I think I heard he owns an outdoor furniture business now.
he traveled the road a lot.do you know the guy? how would you know he didn't 'hit the road much'?? his story is kinda like CJ's, he started tournament play because he was getting a rep as a road MONSTER.
