Someone in the comments on the stream said Petri was sick. Don’t know how reliable that is though.
I don’t think they have mic’s set up there.
Obviously a huge cost difference between remote and flying 6 commentators to Vietnam and putting them up etc.
shouldn't be too difficult if all kinds of ragtag low budget streamers can do it. besides mark white lives next door, in thailand.

Anti-climactic ends to both of those! Somewhat unexpected missed shots from Seoa and Wu.
Wu's shot was harder but I still think he should have made that if he focused more.

a) I see that Yapp/Lu will meet Hsieh/Liu in the mixed doubles final, and that the match will start soon. Best of luck to both teams.
b) Men's 10ball loser's qualification went mostly to form, Round of 32 tomorrow looks appetizing, and nobody seems to have drawn easy. Shaw vs SVB looks like a dandy. This is a very tough field and, as always, despite the presence of Gorst and Filler, I am inclined to give the edge to former winners of the event, meaning Eklent Kaci and Wojciech Szewczyk. An under the radar player worth watching is Mi Le. I caught some of his play earlier this week and was very impressed with his game.
c) Women's 9ball had Savannah Easton beating the re-emergent former superstar Xiaofang Fu in winner's qualification, and that is a great win. Loser's qualification matches feature a lot of the game's best and we'll see some of the superstars miss Stage 2.

Why is that? He can be sick for many reasons.
I can go down the road to any fast food joint in America and get diarrhea or food poisoning, no need to travel to Vietnam.
Not to mention we have a 40% obesity rate. If anything, people need to be careful when eating in America

I always root for Naoyuki Oi and Mario He
My favorite underdogs.
Mario keeps making deep playoff runs and losing focus towards the end, let's hope he can stay composed and win his first major in a while.
Capito and Seoa both had uncharacteristic lapses in their loss to Yapp and Lu. Aloysius looking as sharp as I've seen all year. He had been out of form for months. His girlfriend is not as strong as most of the other women who were in the event, but she has been steady.
Easton, as you noted earlier in the year, has really been on the upswing. Her shooting is more consistent and her pattern play has improved. She has got to be learning a lot playing with Shane. It's great that he is mentoring her.
I was a bit surprised by the outcome of the Yapp/Lu vs Seoa/Capito match, given that Seoa beat Lu pretty comfortably in singles and Capito seems to have been stronger than Yapp lately.
But anything can happen in these short races and Yapp/Lu have been a great team. They just lost the first set of the finals though, and if Hsieh/Liu get in a groove they will run out of chances to win.
Easton has grown towards being an actual title contender. She has beat plenty of big names in these recent events.
