Are high end predators hard to sell on the secondary market?

Less fortunate speculators learn the hard way that not every limited edition production release is considered collectible, or rare.
While not a 1:1, this reminds me of the recent Target Mewtwo Pokemon promo card event where scalpers camped outside stores, some for +12hrs. When the cards first started going up, they sold for ~$100. Then it dropped to $50, and now you can get it as low as $20, hell I saw some going for $16 or worse ($4.) So lines of scalpers that camped out for 1/2 a day (that was supposed to be a family event btw) are at worst currently making .30 cents/hr for their time.

To anyone with kids having trouble getting them a happy meal from McDonald's starting Nov 5th thru Dec 9th, similar reason.

Look out for some more....
Joshua Filer posted this image on his FB, looks like 2 new Predator cues that will cost too much...
He used one of them in Bali

I'll bet that they'll sell out in seconds

the style reminds me of some of the chinese/taiwanese custom cue brands, gold and glitter, many small inlays. not my style, but it's better than the panthera and some other designs

I’m with.. 90% of the new cues predator shows I’m a hard nooooo lol but I’m not one for wild colors or a million inlays and complicated designs on my cue’s. I’m sure predator does it to grab attention but it’s not for me.

Yeaa.. to flippers. Then you will find them on eBay and facebook for sale at twice the price. you always see the people who aren’t players complaining because that the flippers by them all up before they can get a chance to buy one. The question was how hard is it for the the flippers to then sell them at a much higher price.
It must not be that hard to flip them, or all of these dealers would stop buying them up so quick. It's not like this is the first round of Predator cues to sell out in minutes. So, somebody is buying them one way or another, which means Predator is getting paid.

Steve is one of the best designers alive. The high end Joss stuff is really tough to beat from a visual standpoint.

My dream cue is the 2601 that came out this year.
That comes from growing up at the feet of some of the finest old school cuemakers on the planet. Go Steve. Carry on that proud tradition!!

I believe a lot more people are practical now, including old timers. In one pool hall I play in, generally they play some simple production 2 piece cues. There was only 1 other person aside from me that has a cue that is atleast have more value than the other regular people. That person was using a huebler.
I try to explain to league players that the condition of their tip is just as important, if not more so, than what axe they're swinging!!
Starting to sink in.
Every time I'm there, never fails I'm working 2 or 3 tips up for players.

I see young guys and gals with wood shaft Meuccis all the time at the pool halls.

I agree that the Predator fanboys are likely to want the Revo though, even though many extremely good pro pool players use Predator wood shafts (most notably Carlo Biado).
In my area it's 50-50 so far. Half wood, half CF. May have to do with the socioeconomic bracket roun' 'hea.
Not a whole lotta disposable income left.
Some big ugly bastard took it all playing 9 ball.😁
Couldn't resist.😉
Chain yankin'.

There is nothing wrong with people liking what they like, I was just responding to the idea of amateur pool players thinking CF will make them better because they see pros using them.
Makes me think of tennis shoes and who started the pro's wearing them as marketing tool?? Was it Nike??
And how much are 'Chucks' now?? I can't jump any higher. Bummer.

I’m definitely a fan boy! Well, of their shafts.
I’ve tried multiple LD wooden shafts back in the day, none were any good as the Predator shafts.
I have several CF shafts, the Revo in my opinion is the best with the SMO next to it.
Of course that it’s subjective but after 28 years with Predator shafts, I conclude that there is no point in looking elsewhere, I always find myself back with the cat… it’s the only brand that delivers on performance as advertised.

Although I’m not a fan of the butts they offer when it comes to design and prices, something caught my ear a few days ago, I saw Johnny Archer being interviewed and he was told that Mike Sigel said that metal jointed cues deflect more than non metal, and Johnny agreed with it. Thinking about it, rhis might jave a point and maybe something that I’ve felt myself but ignored it as a stroke issue.
So it the butt make a difference, maybe a complete cue that is designed to work together with a shaft, may perform even better.
Something to think about… I don’t see myself spending 3K to test this theory… 🫩
I'm fortunate enuf to own a cue that Mike made himself, 3/8-10 wood to wood. My daily. Perhaps there's something to that.👍🏻

Nice butt, is that a Titlist conversion??
I had Mike Pancerny convert it from this one-piece Titlist house cue.

I'm not surprised at all with regards to a few league players not paying attention to the tip. Most of the are just concerned about if it's a cf shaft that has a modern looking butt.
