Hi there!
The name's Stefan, from Germany. Playing pool since the late 80s with a long break which ended last January, and after discovering Dr Dave and Tor Lowry's stuff I'm having a lot of fun playing recently.
Before my break i never reached any satisfying level, nothing above the lowest league or maybe the 2nd lowest. But in the 90s, pool knowledge was harder to come by than it is today. And also, you have to take it in when you hear it. I guess i only picked up what interested me.
I'm likely to be bitching around about what I think used to be better "in the old days" (like the new ball and cloth colours) and I'm on a bit of a quest to find out more about cue dynamics.
Main focus: to have some fun here and learn, trying to iron out old flaws in my game and annoy some of the guys I usually can't beat.
Main flaws: Consistency, the urge to play the spectacular shot over the save one, trying the same thing although it's not working.
So let's go!
