Holds chalk very well. The fit feels a touch softer than the Taom 2.0, I'd say its more comparable to the Kamui Kai or Zan double face. Also doesn't mark the cloth like the 2.0 did.

I had settled on the Bulletproof for a while. Great break tip, no issues. I tried the C4 tip. This is my new tip now. The C4 holds chalk well. Scuffs easy when needed. I have it on a Purpleheart shaft and everyone that has tried it loves it.
I installed one on a CF shaft for a guy and then he went to a tournament where Francisco Bustamante was playing exhibition matches. Bustamante borrowed his break cue and after breaking with it he commented on how well it broke. I have the video of it although you can't hear what he said.

If you’re going to mention them, then maybe you could actually talk about them. What are they like? How do they compare to other break tips?
Gator tips are made by Andy Gilbert.. Excellent hard leather tips good grips, chalk stays on well and they need very little maintenance.
These are denser and have a different quality leather than Kamui SAI, wich is a very popular break tip. Gator is much more similar to Zan Double Face. These are all layered leather tips and they are all very consistent.
If you want synthetic tips there's a lot to choose from, but generally chalk adhesion suffers, you may get a little more power from say a Horo black storm or Tiger icebreaker, but today with so many players using CF shafts, power is seldom the issue, most players are looking for control, especially on those 9 ball cut breaks.
There are usually some hard triangles in a box and these are perfect for breaking because they grip the cueball better than phenolic tips. When SVB was playing the r360 cuetec and playing great he used triangle tips for several years. He broke with his player also much of the time.

Love the Bulletproof Break tip, it's Lexan, takes chalk well, easy to shape, like any other tip, if you don't like it move on, I always give any tip at least 2 months before I move on, I've found tips change over time and 2 months is enough to know if it's the right one for you, there are so many factors. Your speed of stroke, your follow through, your cue's weight and how it feels to YOU, it's the most important one, who cares if it's considered the "best" if you're not comfortable using it, you'll know the right one if you give each tip a little time, if you decide the tip is not for you ask yourself, what did you like, and what made you want to move on from that tip, put on the next one until you find the "one"

On my sledgehammer cue it has the phenolic tip / ferrule and during League play I made the 8 on the break without scratching and kept the cue ball on the table and had the 8 ball not dropped I would've had a great first shot after the break .
I will admit the Bulletproof break ferrule and tip combination is interesting to say the least , I wouldn't mind trying one some day but I'm still happy with the results with what I've got .

I have an old Triangle tip (straight outta the box maybe 15yrs old) on my J/B cue and it does the job for me just fine.
Had a pretty good player borrow it for a jump shot in a local tournament a few months back. He seemed to like it and he also made the shot he was shooting. That always helps LOL

Those old triangles were hard with tight ass grain. Once you got one broke in, unless something bad happened, that tip was yours for a good year of playing, right Jeff??
I've spent the better part of a year experimenting with break tips and shaft types.
What I finally settled on after idk how many self racked sets of balls was... a Purpleheart Shaft with bakelite/phenolic tip/ferrule combo. For my style of play, this was the best combo I ran across.

With minimal scuff, few swipes of master and Viola!!
Compress that bad boy and you've got a dangerous combo.
