Thanks Hemicudas...

For remembering the old guys... I felt compelled to reply since one of the guys in the picture was my uncle. My name is Andrew J McGehean, son of Joseph "Mac" McGehean which also makes me the nephew of Fast Eddie "Chris" McGehean. Yes, he has passed away about the same time I transferred from El Toro to Jacksonville while in the USMC back in 1985. I came home on leave to help dad bury him and all I can remember is how many cue sticks he had in his apt, there must have been over 100+. Although I never witnessed him play professionally, I wish I had. If possible, I would like to purchase a copy of the photo to go in his album collection which includes newspaper clippings and other items that my father saved. Evidently, he was known as Fast Eddie out here on the west coast as I have clippings and pictures of his tourny against Willie Mosconi in San Fran, CA on March 2, 1953. He must have been quite a character. Any other photos of Eddie are equally welcomed. You may reach me at: fijiisl@comcast.net

Sincerely,

A.J.

Your uncle was a hell of a player, A.J. Chris and I both lived in Ft. Walton Beach, FL in the mid 70s and I got to know him well. The road stories he use to relate were mind boggling. Chris did a lot of cue work then, his game not being what it once was, as I can now relate to. It was a true pleasure to have known him.
