The Joe Callaluca cue I bought from Bamacues, so many years ago.
Broke and ran the very first rack I played with it....and plenty more, after that.
Played my best, ever, with that cue.
Sold it...because I'm an idiot.
Had the exact same experience with a Skip Weston cue. Great guy, and built a stunning cue for me...but it was an absolute dud. Couldn't sell it fast enough.
Good to "see" you're still around, Koop.
Same. I have a few Revo 12.9mm shafts...one for each of my Joss cues.
Need to get one for my PK Custom. Maybe a Revo blank, and have Cody match the ringpack? Wonder if that's even an option...?
The only problem I ever ran into...is that you can't (or couldn't, in the past, anyway) put a Schon shaft on a Joss. The piloted insert on Schon shafts is (or used to be) too thick.
Every other non-Joss shaft I've tried has worked perfectly.
This.
I am beyond thrilled with a custom build I "recently" had done. Price was FAR below what you're looking to spend on a Tasc.
That said...I WILL own a Tasc, at some point. That's my white whale cue.
OP - Bob Farr (on this forum) sold me a used Joss plain jane cue at a STEAL of a price....and dollar for dollar, probably the best money I've ever spent.
I have 4 Joss cues now. All late 1990s to mid 2010s. So consistently good in materials, build, and how they play.
