Any tips for consistently shooting with follow through?

I really appreciate the analogy because I used to play baseball through high school and adult league in my 20s and 30s. Ken Griffey Jr had one of the purest swings baseball has ever seen. Im not sure how to incorporate that into my pool stroke though.

Weight gain after long absence affecting mechanics

Since my long absence I have probably gained 30lbs. I tried to keep and maintain my old form but with my stroke my elbow physically cant be as close to my body as it used to be but my natural muscle memory goes back to my old form automatically. I either need to reinstate my LA fitness...

    The Pause

Im currently in the process of trying to regain my ability to to play this game. Back in the late 90s when I first started playing I had a few lessons from Alex Laoingco (Efren Reyes road manager) the way he taught me was to have 3 strokes with no pauses and on the third you would execute your...

Touché. However, I have been out of the game for a little bit, so knowing the fundamentals and executing them properly are two different things.

Any tips for consistently shooting with follow through?

The one thing a player would have to be extremely careful of is making sure they’re executing the correct fundamentals into their stroke. If I shoot the shot 1000 times incorrectly then im going to have a difficult time trying to relearn the correct way. That goes with anything though..

Any tips for consistently shooting with follow through?

Hello. I only just recently got back into this game after a 15+ year absence. Im trying to salvage any ability that I had once upon a time. I seem to have found my stance, my multiple bridges and the ability to line up shots without issue. The one thing I am currently struggling with is...

interesting little piece of information. When I was getting ready to take the pocket castings and the feet to the powder coater, I noticed on the underside of one of the corner pocket castings it was engraved with a date of 11-22-63. That’s the exact same day President John F. Kennedy was...

Why are there so few black pro players..?

Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Bob Gibson, Willie Stargell were black and they all played in either the 50s 60s or 70s. Ken Griffey Jr and Barry Bonds played in the 80s-2000s. Not only are all those players black, they’re some of the best baseball players the game has ever seen. Less...

The table does seem to play very well. The ball rolls super fast, draw shots get crazy action, the cushion response is exceptional and the pockets dont seem to be too tight. Im just playing very poorly.

I think im suffering from whats called in sports psychology as “reinvestment theory”. Its been so long since I played that when I approach a shot my mind is trying to focus on too many things at once. My bridge, the pressure of the bridge the distance from my stance and legs to the table, my...

    GC1 Table Restoration Complete

I wasn’t planning on making a restoration thread so I didn’t take detailed photos of all the work as it progressed, but I’m going to post everything I have. Having said that, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Rexus (Scott) for his patience and willingness to answer my many questions...
