The only cue I ever had that I didn't like was one I won from a raffle at our end of the year league party.
The rubber bumper deteriorated years ago and I have been using it as a break cue. It is not pro tapered.
I have only ever bought 3 cues...
An Eckes cue back in the early 70's which I...
I buy 10 Ultraskin tips at a time and they cost 4.39 apiece after cost and shipping included.
I sell them to others for 10.00 each and get no complaints about price or quality.
Several friends have started using Ultraskin black rather than another popular black layered tip.
I called to get a price from the pool people near me and they charge 10.00 if you bring in your tip.
Tips are pretty high though... they charge 20.00 for the tips I buy for about 4.00 on top of the 10.00 installation fee.
I think I will keep installing my own.
I think I will place another order for 10 Ultraskin tips while shipping is still 4.00 --
Should be all I ever need and total will be less than 4.40 each shipping included.

Billiard balls are made using a thermosetting process that minimizes the...
I used solid tips for many years and after coming out of retirement I installed an Ultraskin Ivory layered tip.
By far the best tip I have ever used including the old Champions and others I tried back in the day....
They hold their shape extremely well and mushroom far less than single layered...
I have done my own for many years, and amazingly very similar to how Dave does it in the video.
I have a tool that sands the remaining residue from the tip off the ferrule and another tool that trims the side os the tip.
I will however try his method of burnishing the side of the tip.
