    FS: New unchalked Meucci 95-21 / PBT-4 pre-dot shaft

I have actually been in contact with a cue maker here in Wisconsin that is willing to make me a shaft for my Meucci. Instead of a checkered collar it will be black, which doesn't bother me. I have also been considering going with a Sneaky Pete style shaft that has no collar.

    Tip life

Using a tip pick on a layered tip is not recommended as it can cause the layers to separate/loosen. I currently use a tip that I periodically lightly scuff with fine sand paper as it rarely needs maintenance.

    cue tip

It is not a Triumph, but I'm not sure if it is a Chandivert Champion or an original Champion that I had ordered. Was hoping someone could tell by looking at it. It was purchased from Mueller Sports and they handled a lot of tips back then.

    cue tip

I found this 13mm tip in some of my older cue supplies from 30 - 35 years ago. Which tip is it? The second and third pictures were taken under a light and look brighter than the tip really is.

    Another jump cue shaft question..

It doesn't appear to be varnished, but has a very smooth surface.

    Another jump cue shaft question..

I recently purchased a 3x5 cue case and in one of the tubes there was a 24 1/2" end section of a shaft. I am thinking of trying to use it to make a jump cue. My question is... do I need a ferrule on it? I plan on making my own butt for it and putting a hard tip on it (maybe a water buffalo or...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

Back in my younger years (70's & 80's) we didn't have any handicap system. Back then I was was the #1 league shooter and used to win over 50% of the tournaments I played in. I do know of one person that was a pretty good player that walked in and saw me and said he couldn't beat me so he...

Playing for cash money in 2025?

Since getting back into pool after not playing since about 2006 I have been playing 8 ball races to 10 and 9 ball races to five with a friend at his break room and only dropping a 5 or 10 spot in his scratch kitty for him. I have played in two 9 ball ring games which I manage to win both simply...

    Tube style case question.

Is there someone that makes a tube style case like my Joe Porper case which is tapered so that the cue goes in small end first rather than the cue going in either direction? Thanks Ron

    Help identifying this cue??

The cue is from maybe late 90's or early 2000's.. It was a door prize at our end of the league year award party and was won by my partner.

    I have it, Do you?

I bought my first cue in 1977 from Eckes cues in Marshfield Wisconsin which my little brother eventually broke. I replaced it with another just like it in 1983 which I still have. I bought my second cue in 1995 and still have it = Meucci 95-11 which is now called the HOF 1 The next cue was a...

    Favorite tips so far.

I just installed a Le Pro on my break cue..... I still have two more left over from the 90's - they were always a little hard for my liking on my playing cue since I normally used Elk Master tips back then.

    What would You do?

I have a friend that was playing on league many years ago in a take what you make format... He made a stripe on the break, then proceeded to run the table shooting the solids. When he was lining up to shoot the 8 ball straight in his opponent told him - You have stripes- then walked to the...

    Favorite tips so far.

As mention in the past, all tips get harder with use. A tip will harden a little with each use - this is especially true with the layered Kamui tips that have a soft layer over a hard layer = After some use they will become a hard tip.
