I think it was called Iron Willie and it might have belonged to Meucci

It will have an affect one way or another, either increasing or decreasing the effect. The timing of the springing back will be influenced by the stiffness/flex of the shaft and will vary from shaft to shaft so high speed video will only show the results from the individual shaft used. Also...

I think it was called Iron Willie and it might have belonged to Meucci

Do any of these devices also measure how far the tip of the shaft itself bends offline without losing contact with the cue ball and causing a miscue? Do any of them measure how much the shaft bends while the tip maintains its position? Tip deflection VS shaft flexing would be an interesting...

I think it was called Iron Willie and it might have belonged to Meucci

This is an interesting theory, and has me wondering about why I could always get more spin on the cue ball without a miscue with my whippy 12mm Eckes shaft compared to everyone else back in the 70's & 80's. I do realize that a 12mm tip is able to hit lower on the cue ball compared to a 13mm tip...

I like my 4 point 95-11. Still straight and an awesome playing cue with excellent feel.

    ADVICE ON CLEANING FOREARM

I use lens cleaner wipes that I use on my eye glasses - they work great and don't damage the finish.

surely this has happened in a big match, what's the rule??

I had a tip come off during a game in a small tournament and I finished the game with a house cue - then quickly glued my tip back on between games with the super glue I always carried. After the match I replaced the tip with a new Elk Master which was my tip of choice back then. I didn't use a...

    Cue makers and cue repair.

Just wondering about members here = How many members make and sell cues. How many members make shafts. How many members do cue repair. I figure this would be a helpful list here.

    Just curious about Meucci.

Color and wood grain variations are indeed part of the products character. There is no way possible to get the exact wood grain and color the same in a rainbow stained birds eye maple fore arm. Most of the cues like my 95-11 had more of a grey shade to them. (includes the 95-11 as well as the...

    Just curious about Meucci.

I have never had a problem with my Meucci 95-11 that I purchased new in 1995. I also really like the color in the forarm and the inlays.

I need to shoot in a few more fargo reporting tournaments

I base mine on the rate of the people Play against. One of the guys I normally defeat 7/3 on a regular basis is a 520 player. Another friend that is a 543 I usually win 3 out of 5 matches. The problem is this is at a friends place and not fargo reported.
