Fred J Velten from Marin, California?

Lee Simon doesn't have any of his cues anymore unfortunately, but generally mentioned most of the things that were in the obituary. Very well liked guy, was actually doing cue work with only one good hand at the end. He had a funny, and kind of disturbing, story about the get together they had...

Fred J Velten from Marin, California?

I see Lee every day...I'll ask him this week.

Savannah “The RoadRunner” Easton using a wood shaft?

The videos from the Soaring Eagle event show her with the new black shaft. The kielwood shaft was part carbon fiber so technically she has been using carbon tech for quite awhile. She took tied for ninth in the latest event.

Savannah “The RoadRunner” Easton using a wood shaft?

I heard she won the 680 and under Fargo event at Griffs last week using a new shaft that she got less than a week before. Same shaft Morra has used for a few weeks, and played well, believe its called Halo. She went undefeated, and also got some calcutta money. She's been playing great lately.

UK Open 2026, London, May 26-31

At nine ball, no. Pretty sure most people would bet on Filler.

Blast from the past: The Miz vs CJ Wiley

One of my favorites. I'm actually a big CJ fan, but I have more appreciation for matches like this and the stories of his gambling match-ups that make you realize how strong a player he was than the tournament he won in Santa Rosa, CA (that he seems to hang his hat on) and considered some kind...

Rules of Thumb in Golf Billiards

Who would be the most knowledgeable players of this game still around who could do some kind of instructional or commentary on a match between top tier players. There seem to have been a number of legendary games played in just Socal alone. I feel like it was a missed opportunity for even...

    WPBA US Open

I think she is in the Losers bracket finals with third place and 7500 bucks locked up. In the actual finals with a win. Starting on Youtube now:

    Easy E at the Swanee

Savannah beat Jeremy Long and lost hill-hill to the guy who won 11-3 in the final. That's impressive.

Anybody Still Watch The Sands Reno DVDs?

1990 I think. There is an old AZ thread I will try to link:https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/sands-results.502593/

Anybody Still Watch The Sands Reno DVDs?

The Strickland Davenport final match where Kim finally beats Earl is one of the best nine ball matches you can ever watch. Lots of great, entertaining matches from those days with commentary that is more engaging than almost all of today's material.

    Blomdahl Interview

Cool Interview with one of the greatest players and ambassadors of the sport. Interview in English: Don't be discouraged by the link not immediately being available. Like Black-Balled mentioned, it is still on Youtube. Link to another phenomenal players interview. Dick Jaspers, not in...

Who is the best player of the last 40 years not to win a major event?

I was there at the tourney that CJ won. I live 10 miles away. Felt much more like a tv event, invitational than any kind of world championship. Winning any of the Sands events in Reno back in the heyday would be a lot more impressive to me than that tournament. I do think that guys like CJ and...

    China Open

100% agree with ten ball with nine ball rules. Extra ball mitigates almost all of the effects of easy breaking tables , I don't have to listen to people squabble about call shot BS with ten ball, and I actually like a little luck or fluke shot excitement in anything other than a race to one or...
