    Blomdahl Interview

Cool Interview with one of the greatest players and ambassadors of the sport. Interview in English: Don't be discouraged by the link not immediately being available. Like Black-Balled mentioned, it is still on Youtube. Link to another phenomenal players interview. Dick Jaspers, not in...

Who is the best player of the last 40 years not to win a major event?

I was there at the tourney that CJ won. I live 10 miles away. Felt much more like a tv event, invitational than any kind of world championship. Winning any of the Sands events in Reno back in the heyday would be a lot more impressive to me than that tournament. I do think that guys like CJ and...

    China Open

100% agree with ten ball with nine ball rules. Extra ball mitigates almost all of the effects of easy breaking tables , I don't have to listen to people squabble about call shot BS with ten ball, and I actually like a little luck or fluke shot excitement in anything other than a race to one or...

    new Caudron vs Jaspers masterpiece

I was just going to post a link to the same match. Excellent video quality. Good Lord, hard to fade runs like that in a match to 40. As always, classy response from the loser of the match. Anyone know when Caudron switched to carbon shafts?

Sacramento/Bay Area who can be trusted for cue repair/refinish?

Buffalo in Petaluma is not an option. There is a real nice kid who the local players use for tips and ferrules ( he has a hightower lathe) but he's still relatively new to it so refinishing isn't in his wheelhouse quite yet.

    Johnny Archer

Savannah picked up somewhere around $17k for being in the final of a $1k entry event that was Fargo capped in the last couple of weeks. She has accomplished similar feats before. I don't even think she is old enough to drive a car yet. Wonder when the last time JA won anything that paid more...

<*> Position Play in 3 Cushion Billards by Eddie Robins <*>

That is the best price on this book I've seen in a long time, especially if it's in such good condition. I already have one or I'd probably get it, seen them go for over 300 minimum for years now. Holds its value even more than Winning One Pocket by the same author. Good luck with the sale.

    US Open 1pocket pathetic turnout....????

One of the greatest sequence of shots that will ever happen in billiards. Not kidding, a truly special display. Didn't Bugs do something like this and Freddy the Beard put it in a book to basically document a god like run? Anyone who complains about this free stream seriously needs to think...

Is Might get me Kickoff or Ban from AZBilliards... But I question Bob Jewett Post about value of books????

Bob has probably more accurately estimated the value of pool related books on AZ than anyone else. We've both been on this site for 20 plus years and I've seen most of his posts on books. Not only that, but he also tried to help the original authors or their families by telling people where...

    US Open events at Griff's

Looks like you are correct. Shane is listed on the players list for the European open that starts on the 11th. Doesn't look like he entered the banks either after looking at the brackets. The bank tourney is a dramatic drop off in talent, with less than 30 players listed so far and a number of...

    US Open events at Griff's

19,200 bucks and counting for Shane after winning the 8 and 10 ball events with almost perfect play. Banks starts at noon today with Alex P and Evan Lunda I believe. One pocket starts after Banks is complete. I wonder what odds someone would get for SVB to win both of those as well, I doubt...

Collins does a lot of work to set up and stream. I can see how his commentary might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the negative comments seem personal and a little unnecessary. I tend to ignore a lot of the commentary and almost all of the chat but love the fact that I get to watch great...

How Many Miss Mr3Cushion, Comments or Knowledges??

Am I the only one wondering if we are talking about Raymond C or Bill Smith who posts here? Pretty sure original poster was asking about the American Bill Smith who lives in the Chicago area and seems to mainly post in the NPR section.

    Predator Las Vegas Mens Open

Second shot of the shootout, someone drops their phone with a loud thump. Marco tried to reset but he still missed. Made all of his other shootout attempts. Really unfortunate.

    Predator Las Vegas Mens Open

Really was a great match, first time I've watched Marco and he was incredibly mentally tough to fade the early ten balls in the first set and battle the whole way. The noise in the shootout basically ruined a classic game.

How many of you steal chalk from the pool hall?

I have no problem with a regular customer of a pool hall, who actually spends money there, putting a good piece of chalk in his case so he doesn't have to sort through a box full of crappy worn out chalks every time he plays there. People who steal the eight ball out of sets of Aramith or other...
