    Burnishing Water Buffalo

Ah, another Talisman WB-M fan! Yessiree, the finest tip there is. It holds it shape like an extra hard tip, yet holds chalk. It's hard enough to break with yet soft enough for delicate touch shots. A lot of tip makers claim to have all these apparently contradictory characteristics, but I...

    Burnishing Water Buffalo

I have tried the super glue trick, but I just sort of painted in on as if I were applying a sealer or stain. The result was very uneven and bumpy - effective but ugly. Your method make a lot more sense. I'll definitely give it a try. Much thanks and cheers,

    Burnishing Water Buffalo

To all those saavy in tip grooming: Is there a trick to getting a good, lasting burnish on the sides of layered water buffalo tips? I'm talking about the Talisman med WB in particular (I really love this tip, went through dozens before settling on this one.) I've successfully installed quite...

    Diviney Website?

Ahhh, Thank you sir. It's amazing how common this misspelling is :o . I even own one of his cues, but his between-the-points signature doesn't help since it's only partially legible.

Does Pat Diviney have a website? I've searched in earnest but came up dry. Thanx,

    Whitten Case Weight? Recommendations?

Charlie and Corey, Much thanks for the info. I had heard Whittens were light, but wow! One question though, what exactly is "travel foam"?

    Whitten Case Weight? Recommendations?

Hi Brian, My message box has plenty of room, but I didn't receive any pm. Nonetheless, I checked out your website and I must say you make some fantastic looking cases! I especially like the sewn evelope style with the strap. As it happens, I'm also kind of looking for a 1x1 or 1x2 that's...

    Whitten Case Weight? Recommendations?

I'm trying to find out the weight of a Whitten cue case - 3x5 or 3x6 ideally, but knowing how much a 2x4 weighs would also be helpful. If you don't have a scale handy, perhaps you can tell me if it's lighter or heavier than some other case of similar size/capacity. Here's my situation: I ride...

2 brand new RICK HOWARD sneakys

Both of these cues appear to have Rick's standard 3/8-11 joint pin. My question: are the pin threads "regular" (i.e. blade edged) or are they the modified type with the flatened edges? In other words, do they screw together effortlessly or is there some resistance ? Cheers,

    Paul Dayton SP

Yeah, after a quick second look I noticed the brass insert....3/8" in a joint pin thread pitch is a wood-only application. Likewise, you'll only find 5/16" (14 or 18 tpi) screwed into metal. Cheers,

    Paul Dayton SP

Nice looking SP. Question though.....your eBay description says the joint pin is 5/16" but it looks to me more like a 3/8". Maybe the photo's playing eyeball tricks on me...... Anyways, good luck with the auction. Regards

What kind of a price mark-down are you looking at? I realize this depends on the order size, but what's a ballpark estimate of % off retail? Thanx,

    WTB "Thin Butts"

After I get home I'll get out my calipers and provide some concrete numbers. But until then, suffice it to say "thinner than a house cue butt."
