FWIW, I've met and played against Aloysius. He's always been nothing short of a gentleman and class act. I'll always give someone (especially someone like Aloysius) the benefit of the doubt in that situation. He was definitely waiting for the ref's call, but I'm confident that he wasn't sure...

I would never call a loss of game on someone for handing me a cueball that is scratching. If anything, they are SAVING you time by not having to wait for the ball return. I'll never be disrespectful towards my opponent if they call me on it, but it would kinda bother me.

You pulled the ball from the ball return to give to your opponent? How would you lose the game for that? That seems crazy to me and I'd hate it too.

You're totally right. That was one of the first rules I questioned. Their response was that everything they do is designed to speed up the competitions. They want to avoid long, drawn out racks to keep the tournament on schedule and to add excitement for the viewers.

I'm sorry but that's not ultimate pool. 30 minute match clocks should be used. I start at -4 almost every time. Last week I won 4-1 with my opponent milking the clock. You played some dumb TD's version of UP.

I'm not sure I follow on your first point. You can absolutely hit your solid and pocket your opponent's stripe. You just lose your turn at the table. Just like BCA. Edit: Looks like I'm late to the party...
