Maybe not a "play" thing, but a pool thing that irritates me is the amount of people who claim to be a "world champion" nowadays. The person who is an APA3 on the team that wins in Vegas and now they're out there calling themselves a world champion. :rolleyes:
My answer is simple. And this applies to literally everything in life. I will lean towards the mountain of data every time rather than the person who only uses their own personal "experience".

I'd play anyone in the world even at whatever game they wanted if they played the way you described with a broom stick. If I somehow lost, I'd pay off with a smile because it would be that impressive to me.
Pinching is fairly common, but you're right about flat. Basically the opposite of "steep". Steep meaning a thinner cut than you wanted and flat meaning not as much angle as you wanted.
