    Which one or both?

what if you store your wood in a controlled room but your lathe is not. will it affect the wood if you take it out, cut it, seal it, then put it right back in the controlled room as soon as you are done?

    The 6 pack

I played in my local Top Gun tourney last night. 1st and 2nd got Schon cues and a trophy. I finished 3rd. 8 matches, 39 games, and 9 hours later I left with a tired arm and $20 less in quarters lol I wish our APA operator was that awesome.

    My Homemade Pantograph

thanks for the feedback. it was just a project/experiment. I'm not going to use it if it doesn't work. Ive wanted to make one for awhile just to see if I could. If it doesn't work , which it probably wont, then no harm done and I can just use it to make my kids some name signs lol

    My Homemade Pantograph

I got the design from this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PQlDAg971c The inlays in his guitar looked good, so I figured that I would give it as shot. No harm no foul

    My Homemade Pantograph

I made it b/c I enjoy making things. It was a project that I enjoyed making with my son. I don't have the extra cash flow to spend on a CNC machine right now. I live in a very small town, so no, there are no extra CNC machines laying around town and I'm not paying double the price of one just to...

    My Homemade Pantograph

This is my first attempt at making my own pantograph. I still have a few more tweeks and I need to get some patterns before I can test is better, but just tracing a stencil worked well. I just need something thicker where the pen/punch will stay on track. It is sitting on 2 heavy duty drawer...

    Turning schedule on a forearm/handle/butt?

My garage is insulated as most are in my area. I have a window in there that I can put a unit in. I am also going to buy a dehumidifier to keep in there.

    Turning schedule on a forearm/handle/butt?

my garage is insulated. Most down here are. I also have a window in there, just need to get an a/c unit. Like I said, I'm storing the wood inside where the temperature is ideal. I will also probably need a dehumidifier to keep in the garage as well.

    Turning schedule on a forearm/handle/butt?

I am storing my squares, which I have about 20 from bell and joe in my upstairs bonus room where it is 74-76 all day and no one opening windows or doors so the humidity stays low. As far as having a name and logo, I spent 5 years in web design and marketing so getting people to see the name as...

    Turning schedule on a forearm/handle/butt?

I spent 5 years in web design and marketing so doing logo and names is something that is important to me. It's also never too early to get people to see your name. I have also been doing tip and cleanings for awhile now. So far I've been buying the pre-cut forarms/handle/butt from joe to get me...

    Turning schedule on a forearm/handle/butt?

So you wait for a specified moisture level before making another turn? I live in south alabama where it is 85-95 degrees and 85-95% humidity 7-8 months out of the year. My lathe is in my garage that isn't temp controlled but I store my wood in my house.

    Turning schedule on a forearm/handle/butt?

So basically you are waiting for the moister to get to a certain point before you make another turn? I live in south alabama where it is 88-95 degree's with 90-95% humidity 7 months out of the year. My lathe is in my garage which is not temp controlled, but I'm storing my wood inside my house.
