Where I live, in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, the population is about 675,000. Now I would say that at one point or another at least 100,000 of these people have played "pool". I would very much doubt that out of these 100,000 , 10% have played 9 ball. That would mean that out of every 100,000...

I believe that 90% of the pool playing public either don't know about the telecasts, or if they do they don't watch them. 90% of the pool playing public do not even play 9 ball. Now if they showed 8 Ball you would have some interest. If your showing 9 ball you may as well be showing snooker...

I would also guess that paying $10,000.00 for a lotto ticket to win 1 million even at odds of 512 to 1 would not get a much better turn out than this tournament. Keith Legros
