I'm not getting this at all.
As a fan, I whole-heartedly subscribe to the opinion that the players need to pull together across the globe to take the game places, even just to stop the calamities like non-payment occurring every other event.
But...what does this organization actually stand for...
*hands up* - you're right Black-Balled. I was reading the OP's question in the only way I thought it would make sense. That'll teach me!
To the OP - what other ways are there to construct a ranking/league table other than to reward and highlight overall consistency?
Maybe I'm being blind but...
OP asked what his credentials were for being the number one ranked player in the world. I think the simplest answer is that there is no ranking list out there to warrant the title 'World Number 1'.
This year's forthcoming US Open is on the list...I'm pretty sure last year's isn't. Maybe someone can correct me but wasn't it something to do with the added prize money at the 2010 Open not meeting WPA 'requirements'?

Cool....I've just got to clarify that the quote I read was not that Snooker was the easiest game to play or master but the easiest game of the three to figure out a path to victory in.
It was his opinion though and he's entitled to that regardless of standard, just as you and I are. I would...
Yeah I believe he was talking about the nuances and logistics of each game in comparison to the other rather in his experience rather than, "this game is really easy".
I wont quote it all. Although a really interesting opinion I find myself nodding along only sparingly.
Over 90% of UK homes have more than 5 channels so I don't think that argument holds up too well.
Maybe it's because I've been brought up both watching and playing Snooker before getting into...
I'm not even sure whether this post was meant to be 'tongue-in-cheek'...?
Why would a World Championships (in any sport) be set up to hinder the best players?
Why would the World Snooker Championships be played on any other equipment than a 12ft tournament table?
How is a 32-man field not a...
