Sure it’s high variance, but overtime with many games your real skill level will come out. Kind of smoothes out hot streaks but also amplifies bad luck or bad rolls. That’s why you need to take a look at this format as a marathon and not a sprint.

Gambling matches should be winner breaks. Can take the momentum and either runaway with it or make one hell of a comeback. Tournaments, especially majors, should be alternate breaks. Allows for the better technician to control the match. Makes the break and break knowledge extremely vital. Also...
