I asked last year how business was for us pool hall owners. Many seem to just be surviving. As for us, our numbers are about the same as last year but seem to be trending downwards. How about you guys?

Yah careful with churches. I have seen many alcohol and recreational establishments get shut down even after they open due to zoning regulations.

so how many tables total are you looking to put in? 10 smart, 12 nines, 6 current bar boxes and, 2 more current nines? so total 30? if so u might think about raising or reducing the amount of smart or nines you will get since you will have enough for the non tournament crowd. Also how much...

yah i showed a fight and i am willing to pay something fair. but the are asking for $12000. I know bar owners that have paid $4-$5k and what they are doing is basic extortion by law.

No i never showed UFC or any pay per view. But they seem real intent that they will sue me and I can hardly afford any legal fees nor the headaches right now.

I am about to have the worst month in 8 years of this place being open. down 40% from last year and 50% from the year before. and we have no smoking ban here. the building owners don't even care for our woes and seem to rent out the other spaces to any 2 bit business thats willing to pay rent...

ive talked to business owners and other pool hall owners. and people being down 30-50% over the last 1-1.5 years seem to be the norm. I know we are down close to 30% too. times are just rough. but I have other reasons other than a bad economy to blame for my downturn.
