Cue Maker - Old brain can't remember.

Good day all.... Having a conversation with a player cue collector friend of mine and I can't remember a particular makers name. He started off making one off cues and selling them in the 1-2k range, then changed his business model and started selling dozens on Ebay. I know his switch angered...

Break tip and cue weight questions answered by Dr. Dave

Doc, Thanks again for the information you sent me and I'm glad it's getting discussed at such length here, looks like some people are getting information that may help them going forward. Sorry it's caused you more "work" clarifying some of the info that's been presented here. You're...

Break tip and cue weight questions answered by Dr. Dave

I forgot to add...there's a few things you don't do. You don't pull on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger. And when it comes to physics and math as it relates to pool you don't mess around with David G. Alciatore, PhD.

Break tip and cue weight questions answered by Dr. Dave

E=MC^2 is short for Energy = Mass accelerated to the speed of light squared. If you can break at the speed of light squared I'm legitimately scared of you. Perhaps you're thinking F=M*A, which is force equals mass times acceleration.

    Cost to recover table

I bought the cloth off of him for $350 if memory serves....it was almost the same amount that I could find it online. He did the rails and had his wife Eva with him. The particle board underneath the slate was in kind of rough shape and fixed that all up. Not sure what he would have charged...

    Pocket Size

Have you thought about removable shims? I use them for a couple hours before a tourney or big game. You can buy different sizes then you can have your proverbial cake and eat it too. Buddy's come over you can take them out, when you're getting dialed in slap them in. Just my $.02 Mattie

    Cost to recover table

I live in Wichita and had Jack Shurtz of Shurtz Custom Cues come and cover my table with 860 and he charged me "friend" price of $300. I would say $350 is reasonable for a good mechanic. If it's a guy that works for your local store that sells tables, and bars and maybe even hot tubs, I'd...

Break tip and cue weight questions answered by Dr. Dave

Good day all, I've been recently trying to calculate mathematically which are better, phenolic tip vs. leather and light cue vs. heavy cue. After failing to come up with the right equations on my own I reached out to Dr. Dave, Colorado State University's resident pool math expert...

Brunswick Centennials - Mint - Less than 50 games

One last bump hoping 3rd time is the charm...don't want to go to that auction site, just may have too. I'd much rather see them go somewhere that they'd be appreciated. Look at me like I'm trying to sell my favorite puppy. :) Thanks all !! Mattie

What's your favorite quote by a billiards player?

I've heard for many years Fats said this but can't say for certain, but I always liked it... "Give me a broomstick with a good tip on it, not only will I take all your money but I'll sweep up the joint when I'm done." Oh, then there's the one in my signature.

Brunswick Centennials - Mint - Less than 50 games

I have a set of Brunswick Centennials for sale. $220 with free USPS shipping (Within ConUS). I'll have them professionally cleaned at the pool hall before I ship. This is the lowest I'm able to go and I may be open to trades for a cue, just depends on the cue. Thanks for looking and I look...
