Belated condolences. I have fancier and more expensive cues, but my playing cue is a Dan-Janes-made Joss cue. It is an off the shelf model but it just plays "right." Although we never met I've enjoyed reading about him over the years. A friend of the game.

I have a signed David Jacoby original cue that I treasure. I think it's a masterpiece of artistic design. I deeply respect his craftsmanship, imagination, and creativity. It is no exaggeration to call David Jacoby an artist. We all have to get off this round ball somehow, and I hope his passing...

I actually worried about my memory for a while, but then I realized that whenever I think of someone, their face comes to mind immediately. So there's no problem with my memory, it's just names I have a problem with. To be honest, I always had trouble with names, it's not really an age thing...

I have a vintage brain, and the da@n thing can't remember a name. No surprise. Pool match commentator, recent, has a thick British-Isles accent, used to be a player, recently started his own YouTube channel. (Not Neils Feijen. Not Alex Lely.) Can anybody help my brain? I'm angry at it, but...

That did help, a lot. It's an easy way to determine just where your head should be in the stroke. I've been hitting better ever since I read this, and I've stopped giving myself a crimp in the next trying to align my cue perfectly with my nose! Thanks.

Isn't Buddy Hall still alive? The internet says he is 77 and lives in Metropolis IL, but who knows if that's right. It's quite possible to self-publish e-books on Amazon; anybody can do it. But scanning all those pages would be a lot of work to set things up. If my information is not out of date...

Low but consistent demand. A reprint isn't warranted, but eventually the supply dries up and with the steady demand still there, the price goes up. It's a common occurrence in the book world.

Then don't buy a Brunswick. All of their tables are just branded off-the-rack Chinese tables. They don't make a single table in the USA AFAIK.

Yeah, but they're not Rassons. Rasson is a slate quarry with a vast factory attached (like half a million square feet) in Jiujiang City out on the Yangtze River, that makes OEM tables, mostly low-end, that are re-marketed around the world under all sorts of names. It's not like they're making...

Thank you for this, Lou. I've been doing this a lot and I find it fun, for one thing, and it's really improving my position play and my touch. And even my draw shot. I'm only running all 15 about 1 out of 5 starts, but with most starts I get pretty deep before missing or getting out of position...
