It's basically 8-ball played on a snooker table. There are other rule differences between 8-ball and heyball around called shots and fouls but I can't remember them off the top of my head and they don't seem to fundamentally change anything.

I agree that players shouldn't feel the need to apologize for golden breaks, but it might be worth noting that holes-in-one are many orders of magnitude more rare than golden breaks. Additionally, pool is usually 1-v-1 while professional golf is usually not, which I think makes sportsmanship...

Do you mean the handicaps are inaccurate? Or do you mean you're against female players getting handicaps on principle? If the latter, how do you feel about handicapped games based on Fargo Rate?

Yeah same here, with few exceptions, I root for Americans first, underdogs second.
