Alex Pagulayan going to UK to try pro snooker

Some very good and very informative posts by J.W. in this thread. Especially what he says in post #67 about how pool is mentally tougher than snooker (in general), I completeley agree. It goes the same way as straight billiards vs 3cushion, the former is the toughest one mentally since pts are...

Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

A discussion/debate about money-lists and rankings could be endless. It is not easy to say when and for whom they are good indicators and when misleading. Since we talk about Nick E. lets take him for example: AZB moneylist Of all the tournaments tracked by AZB in 2014, he has entered exactly...

Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

why shouldn't he be? all I am saying is that the money list is inaccurate for players like Nikos 15k for 2014 is still way behind Shane's 75

Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

I said 10x for 2014 which I know for fact, I haven't checked other years but i am pretty confident that more than 80% of his winnings are missing. No site unfortunately, tournaments like this one though could have been tracked since sixpockets.de is a quite reliable site...

Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

Trey there are far more tournaments worldwide than those tracked by AZBilliards. AZB is doing a great job and improving every year its coverage, but I understand this a very difficult task if input is not provided regularly from overseas. Nikos has more than 10x tournament winnings in 2014...

Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

SVB will probably also play at the 9ball tournament which will take place there the days before the challenge (Souquet confirmed among the participants, don't know who else) So he won't be totally unfamiliar with the table and other conditions by the 28th

Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

Home room+ country+ continent advantage is much bigger than people seem to realize. SVB should be a slight favorite in a neutral venue, bigger in the US, but in this set up I'd make the line even or slight fav NickE

9ball World Championship, Doha, Qatar 2012

And what a difference can make just a simple result-coverage and a live-stream... I remember the 09 championship in Doha won by Bustamante went on almost unnoticed and we never watched his awesome performance (he pretty much destroyed everyone by quiet a margin)
