I Disagree Sonia...Sorry I think you need a lesson on stroke and follow through...A golfer swings through the ball as a pool player shoots through the object ball. WE and them do not swing/shoot at the ball! Can you hit a long drive by hitting at the ball, or can you hit the rack hard shooting...

I think straight shots are tougher, and they are a good practice tool. Like when Mosconi shows his drill in the straight shots...Starst and lengthens them until he's on the rail with the cb. Hit's them hard to check stroke and aim. I do it all the time and it definitely gets your arm going...

I compare pool players to golfers...They both must have a good stroke and have a sense of finesse. They must also know how to read the layout. I can go on, but it's late... This is more of a commom sense comparison than what I have read.
