This is a question that will get as many different answers as when someone asks for a tip recommendation. Just do what you think is right. I don't lend out my cues because most people don't know how to chalk correctly and keep the ferrule clean.

I do this once a year: 600 grit sandpaper to your cue and ferrule then a thin magic eraser sheet then finally use the green side of a Q-Wiz to finish burnish (light brown leather side) with Q-Wiz (optional step) I do steps 2 and 3 more than once a year to clean up the shaft after almost daily...

I wouldn't order something like this from Amazon unless it was a Prime listing (free, no issue returns). These lights are very delicate, large to ship and many packages are damaged these days during shipping.

Was not that many gold crowns and was located in Concord, CA not SF. And what do you mean private rooms, given all the tables were in one big room? Plus this one was well established in the mid to late 80s. The Great Entertainer is still open today in San Mateo, CA.
