9' Diamond Professional with Rosewood Dymondwood Rails

Definitely a professional! I bought it from the factory in 2011 and set it up myself with Diamond's and RKC's guidance. Diamond calls it the Type 3 leg style with leveling blocks. I liked that look vs. the traditional metal feet. It also has the Dymondwood rails which always have the angular...

9' Diamond Professional with Rosewood Dymondwood Rails

I have a 9' Diamond Professional with Rosewood Dymondwood rails (blue label) for sale. I had it finished in Tournament Blue Simonis 860 HR. The table is in a storage unit in Murray Utah (near Salt Lake City). Buyer would need to arrange any pickup and shipping. I'm asking a very reasonable...

Received my Simonis cloth install DVDs

metmot, You nailed it. The Simonis DVDs, in combination with the other info you can get online, give any handy person plenty of information to install the bed cloth well (I didn't do my rails). There are still a few missing details for gluing the cloth on. Not sure what you have against bus...

Finished Simonis 860 HR Install with 3M-10

I think those pliers would work fine. I stretched 1.75" side to side and something like 2.5" from either end. I don't know if these numbers would work for someone else. You can follow the stretch pattern used in the Diamond youtube videos.

First time leveling Diamond Pro (with pics)

After I put the skirts on the rails and installed the whole top assembly, It tweaked my level job a bit. In general, the higher rigidity top assembly pulls the corners of the table down just a bit. Also, the foot-end skirt has a little bit of a crown to it which pulls a crown into that slate...

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

Yup. I taped them and used canvas pliers for the max stretches. Here's my thread about installing the cloth: Finished Simonis 860 HR Install with 3M-10

Finished Simonis 860 HR Install with 3M-10

On Saturday, I finished installing Simonis 860 HR on my Diamond Professional. Thanks to the information and advice from the mechanics in this forum, I think I was able to do a nice job. The worst part for me was closing the side pockets. In the end, I think I could have pulled them a bit...

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

Finished the cloth on Saturday and it all went good. 3/16" nap roller worked great. The vapors from the glue were not that bad and cleared out within a couple hours once I opened the windows. I think that the Bondo was worse like matteroner said. I would think that once you get the hand of...

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

On RKCs recommendation, I bought a 9" 3/16" nap roller from Lowe's and cut it up into 3" sections. It isn't an adhesive specific roller (I saw those for sale online), so I imagine it will work basically the same as your 1/4" nap roller. I'll be putting the cloth on this weekend, I'll make sure...

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

Thanks for the insight. Any tips on applying just the right amount of glue? I've got a short (3/16") nap 3" roller that I am planning to use.

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

It's going to be about 32 degrees F and windy outside when I do this (Northern Utah). I was planning on installing the cloth with the windows closed so that the room doesn't get too cold (the contact cement wants 65 degrees or higher). I will be wearing a respirator with cartridges for...

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

I have used contact cement before, but I don't have significant experience with it. What is the big risk I am taking? Do you think it is a health risk and/or a risk of ruining my cloth or table. Any suggestions for getting it right or keeping it safe? It looked like you were going to post...

    Handling 3M-10 Contact Cement

Hello, I'm about to install the cloth on my Diamond Professional using RKC's 3M-10 glue method. Some of the posts in this forum are making me more nervous about the safety of using this glue. I will wear a respirator when I do it and I'm planning on doing it when my family is out of the...
