Received my Simonis cloth install DVDs

And they are very good. The word was they are not for DIYs. And that these are geared only for installation of Simonis cloth for already competent professionals. This is all false and propegated by people used to doing shoddy work with no accountability. These types are already doing the best job they are willing to and don't like it that a bus driver or plumber can get better results right away and no longer will hire their sloppy work. You guys know who you are.

The instructions there are in fact presented with enough minute details to help most competent DIY types get exactly the results they want. The tiny details nicely fill in the gaps I have found in any and all other sources. Highly recommend these and commend those who produced them. Thanks!

Jay and I both thank you for your review of our DVDs:grin:

PS, you're right, if they were openly released in this industry I think they would end up causing a lot of changes as to how this kind of work gets done, and by whom.

metmot,

You nailed it. The Simonis DVDs, in combination with the other info you can get online, give any handy person plenty of information to install the bed cloth well (I didn't do my rails). There are still a few missing details for gluing the cloth on.

Not sure what you have against bus drivers and plumbers:)

Ralph Kramden was a closet wife beater (one of these days Alice......to the moon!) and Joe the plumber is a whack job:)

I've done my rails a few times over the years and used the monkey see monkey do technique to figure it out along with available information. They have always come out ok but the process was extremely time consuming and tedious. Same with the bed cloth. To have precise instructions showing the exact location and order to staple is way more than I have ever been able to find. Those guys I'm sure have developed this exact procedure from years and years of experience and probably some early funky results taught to them by others.

BTW is that Jay or Glen in the black striped shirt doing the work?

I guess my former mechanic pulling the cloth corner to corner first was wrong ?
