Found one for pretty cheap. More of a billiards history novelty for the collection. Just need the manual. It's really looking for a question
that's already been answered with the magic rack.
I just converted my GC6 from ball return to drop pockets. I used the drop pockets mentioned in post 6 above. Perfect fit!
I removed the gully rails as part of the conversion since the new side pockets are deep enough to impinge on those rails. I also removed the drop box for aesthetic purposes.
CB first. It’s the target, what’s actually hit by the cue. When aiming you will see the hit point on the cue ball, so why look at the object ball? The OB will surely be there but does not need to be the focus. The hit point on the CB must be the focus in my opinion. Everyone thinks...
Interesting relation to the power draw, a shot that has been problematic for me. I work hard on no head movement and it’s paying off on routine shots. But all goes to #$%t on the power draw.
So today I focused on still head and seeing exactly where and when the cue tip touches the CB. Bingo...
In parallax, using both eyes look at the appropriate CB edge (there are 2, ya know....). 90 degrees from this edge is the location of the CB center to pocket the ball. It's really hard to just jump in at this point. There's a lot of background info to study. This just clarifies what...
I found this set and bought it for a few bucks for the ball marker (left). It came with a second piece and I can't tell what it's used for. Here's a photo. The one on the left works to mark ball that may be on the magic rack or if a ball needs to be cleaned. The piece on the right is the...
Watching some of the APA matches from Las Vegas. Looks like Valley 7ft bar box tables. The pockets make the balls look very small. What are the pocket opening dimensions for those tables? Thanks.
I'm watching a lot of pro matches. They always lineup/aim with the tip of the cue intersecting the cloth and the ball (very low). Then the cue tip comes up as they stroke and the cue ball usually hops a couple inches after contacting the ball at the point of the rack. Sometimes it appears to...
